Arguably the finest fighter aircraft of World War II.

A famous Mustang with two custom touches - yellow wheel wells, replacing the traditional green, ..... and a silver instrument panel, replacing the traditional black - with the yellow 6-pack outline gone.

This bird was featured in a TV commercial a few months ago, ..... did anyone 'watch' it ? ;) :)
Cheers,
MZee.

A 'good' landing is one from which you can walk away. A 'great' landing is one after which they can use the airplane again.

Stunning paintjob. I really like it. Yellow looks good on the Mustang. Will that be up for download?

I have not seen the TV commercial. What was it for??

Hi Piper_EEWL,
The repaint download is available here :
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ieyuo ... eitling.7z

To get the silver instrument panel, put these 2 files in the aircraft texture folder for this repaint :
http://www.bladerunner900.co.uk/bin/FSX/bits/p51_c2.dds
http://www.bladerunner900.co.uk/bin/FSX/bits/p51_c.dds

If you download Steve Landau's repaint, you will have the option to change the wheel well color to either yellow or green as he includes these 2 files in his download of yet another bare metal repaint. Just put one of these in the aircraft texture folder (for this repaint) to change the wheel well color as desired. I chose yellow. The download is from Avsim and you will be asked to sign in (or sign up for free) first. Here is the link :
http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=184174

As u can see, this is not a new paint, just merely another variant made possible from existing paints by Steve Landau and other talented painters here at A2A.

BTW, the commercial I was referring to is this one : (a treat to watch if u r a Mustang fan)

Let me know in this post if any questions. Glad to help u out.

Happy Flying !

Sweet paint! It looks great.

I first saw that commercial a year or two ago, it's awesome. I love it and the mirages in the salt flats :;):

Hi MZee,

Thank you for putting all those links together for me. I really appreciate it. I'll download the files and put a paint together. I like the yellow wheel wells so I guess I'll go with them.

Yes I have seen that commercial somewhere too before (thanks for digging up the link). Didn't remember it though until I watched it again  It's awesome. Nice shots of two amazing planes! And the girls are nice too

Thanks a gain for all the effort!

Apparently this TV commercial was done prior to the one previously posted.

Hehe very nice. Man that Mustang has so much ramp appeal. No wonder he's has the girls lined up like that  :)
