Hi There,
I recently purchased the P-51D Mustang. What an amazing warbird. Hats off to A2A!

I have my eye on the Charlie 172 next.

So my question is, I am looking for other paint schemes.
Don't get me wrong, I love what came with the aircraft, but it would be nice to fly a big beautiful doll, or a Petie 2nd.
Would any of you be able to point me in the right direction.

@MrTwoTall - welcome to the forums!

Chris has already given you just about all the pointers you need for Big Beautiful Doll and other P-51 paints.

If you haven't already, you might also want to take a look at CDFI's website. He doesn't turn out a lot of paints, but the ones he does release are pretty spectacular. Worth a visit because he's got no less than three versions of Big Beautiful Doll - two civilian variants and one for the military Mustang.

Also, for something a bit different, when you're over at Sim Outhouse, check out ovyjohns' paint of Big Beautiful Doll in 361st Fighter Group colors. Col. Landers became group commander in July 1945, for a brief time when they were training for transfer to the Pacific. The 361st's yellow nose replaces the 78th FG checkerboard.

Enjoy!
