Towing the P-51

Post by Pistonpilot »

So.

After greatly enjoying the Texan for a while, I'm currently on a P-51 kick (which may or may not be related to some really nice repaints that have cropped up recently).

However.

For some reason, one of my very favorite features with the Texan was using the 'tow' feature to back it into a parking spot so it can tick itself cool and rest easy.

How difficult would it be to include this feature on the P-51?

Considering the P-51's weight you would need a tug  I don't know if you could tie the T-6 by hand though.

It would sure be great to have that feature on all the birds

One thing I noticed when I towed Vlado Lenoch's old mount "Moonbeam McSwine" was how heavy it was! Also, if you do not go fast enough pushing it into the hangar, the tailwheel wants to snake. Would be a very cool feature nonetheless!!
