Austrian Cherokee Repaint OE-DKT

Post by Martin99 »

Hi,

after Steve (bladerunner900) has painted an Austrian C172 (OE-KLP) for me, I would like to ask him if he would be so kind to paint this Cherokee too.

This plane has the same homebase like the C172 at LOAU (Stockerau) near Vienna.

I hope Steve will read this message.

Kindly regards,
Martin

Martin,

Just noticed this post. I replied to the one in the Cherokee forum regarding the same livery. I'm happy to take a crack at it, as it's somewhat similar to an existing paint I did (and don't think we've seen any Austrian repaints yet). However, don't wish to step on Steve's toes if he's already started or wants to do it instead...

Cheers,
Nick

Hello Nick,

Austrian repaints of the Cessna and Piper are unfortunately very rare. Steve was so kind to paint the Austrian Cessna for me.

Steve didn't answer, so if you would paint this Austrian livery it would be really great. Your painting of the English livery looks similar to the "OE" registration. Maybe the blue color is a little bit brighter at the "OE".

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin,

OK, I'll definitely have a crack at this repaint soon. Yes, she's a brighter shade of blue than G-AVOZ and the tail stripes need adjusting a bit. However, the large picture you posted is very good to work from. I also found a 'PulkerSoft' logo on the internet which will make it a bit easier.

Incidentally, I've just posted a preview pic of another Austrian livery in the Cherokee forum.

Cheers,

Hi Nick,

your painting of the OE-DSL looks very good. Then there will be 2 paintings of Austrian Pipers.

I'm looking forward the new liveries.

Best regards from Vienna,
Martin

Cheers Martin - they're both just about done, so not too much longer to wait. Just need to double check I haven't made any major cock-ups with the liveries and package them up, etc. I'll aim to upload later today... :)

...Edited to add a link to a thread where these liveries can be downloaded. :)
