After WWII, the Philippines was able to get their hands on 103 units of the P-51D Mustang. The aircraft was largely used by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the Philippine Army Air Corps against the "Huk" campaign. One of the most famous P-51D Mustangs was the "Shark of Zambales," which was flown by Lt. Col. Benito Ebuen of the PAF.
