Connie chrome - remove the 'blue' tinge

Post by UKJim »

Hi,

So I've recently done a repaint for the connie and I like how it looks but I'm not too keen on the blue tinge that occurs with the chrome.

I've tried updating all the files and did not make a difference. I'm quite experienced in repainting but this one has stumped me.

I am wondering if it's the sky reflection as I use P3Dv4. Here is an image - check the wings...

I don't get this with my shiny T6 repaint so I'm rather confused. Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks
Jim

OK so I found out what this was - it's 'Dynamic Reflections' in P3Dv4 - it reflects the sky and has nothing to do with the repaint.

Turning this off made the reflections go away and it looks a solid chrome.

Hey Jim,

I don't believe by default this would happen as strong as it is in your shots. I don't think this is P3D but some other setting add-on causing an extreme colour adjustment. Are you using any tweakers like re-shade or PTA etc?

thanks,
Lewis
