Sure , there is a thread telling how you can control all the 2dGauges. You can place the gauges where you want and turn on or off. Maybe a search will find the thread for you.
Open your 2dGauge folder, and then the init folder for the A/C you want. I think you are talking about the:
Name = artHorizon
Set DrawWhen = 0
and it will not draw the gauge.

Unfortunately the 2Dgauges threads are all in the shadow region jan'07-oct'08 not reachable by the search engine. So I did a brute force search by mark I eyeball, and found the relevant thread here:
