New Features in v.1.1 - Paddle to and from a dock or any shoreline with a functional oar. - Make advanced water to land landings with Tundra tires. This allows for safer landings near shorelines and lakes. While the tundras are larger than regular tires, they are not floats, so if you get too slow over the water, they can pull you in and nose over. Be careful and respectful of the dangers of skipping over water. The wave physics are enabled, so you may get some bucking up and down at speed. - Hand towing (CONTROLS PANEL). This allows you to slowly pull or push your aircraft after the engine has been shut off. - New tie-down physics will hold aircraft steady. If you use the tie down on water, it will simulate a tie down near a dock. The plane will still rock back and forth in the watter, but it will behave as if it is roped down. - Audible damage physics. This means if you push an engine, especially if cold, you will hear some slightly different sounds coming from the engine.
PASSENGER ON BOARD: - Nervous Heidi won't comment so much when down low. - Misc improvements and fixes to Heidi's intelligence.
MISC: - Wing departure characteristics slightly tuned. - DAT files automatically get re-located to MY DOCUMENTS / A2A / FSX / J3CUB. - Tuned (reduced) ground effect.
BUG FIXES: - Engine damage bug fixed - Fixed a bug when sometimes hand starting was not possible based on previous flights. - Sudden damage is relatively less likely when TBO time 1800 is chosen. - Fixed bug where air starting required the prop movement speed to be slowed down to start. - Gauge physics improvements and fixes.
Awesome! Quick question for you, when I download that file from gamershell can I upload it to a post in my forum at www.aussiex.org so that members can download it directly from there please?

And you also exchanged the moving prop texture with a wooden one!
I just had a fun experience when loading a float Cub savegame: let's just say that it would put a Mary Go Around to shame. Starting a fresh flight instead of loading a prepatch savegame is strongly recommended!
Problem after install of patch, did not have issue prior to install. Dust of prop wash is black now. Also noticed that after install and start up of FSX it was updating scenery files. Help please!
Yea, very strange, I checked all the settings, did a restore point from a couple days ago and still nothing. Strange thing is, I loaded in a effect about 5 months ago for helicopter rotar wash effect and it works fine. Seems like the effect for dirt/water is messed up somehow. Not sure of the effect file for this.

gwolb,
This patch doesn't mess with any effects or scenery files. What I see there is just plain odd - i don't even know how that effect would be created. I would try just uninstalling the cub, and re-installing it and staying clear of any 3rd party effects until you test it.
Mr. Scott G. is correct in saying that this has NOTHING to do with the Cub; its an issue with the two default FSX effects files called "fx_contrail_l.fx" and "fx_contrail_s.fx" being over-written by an addon (the addon ones are NOT compatible with the graphics settings you are using). I've seen this myself (AS' F-16, CS' F/A-18, etc.) and restored the default ones and the "issue" went away. And, if you feel you need more convincing, here is another example of the same problem: http://realenvironmentxtreme.com/forum/index.php?topic=4610.0
Good Luck!
