Hello Folks,
Just installed the Cub with Accusim pack, no problem during install, have read the documentation, FSX realism settings are full to the right, everythings are according to the Doc provided.
1st flight, 1st taxi, 1st takeoff, 1st climb etc = OK, Btw Heidi is fun, once in straight&level flight, the Cub is returning aggressively to the "center" also i have some very noisy sound, kind of cracking from the fuselage or the wings, hard to say, either at 90% power or at idle !
I have read the troubleshooting topic, i'm running FSXA, my Vista64 is up-to-date as well as the simconnect stuff.
Anything related with FSUIPC maybe ?
Thanks for your help/ideas.
Cheers.

(going back flying) :D

99 times out of 100 you will have hit the "z" key autopilot. Try hitting "z" and you will hear three pips and control should magically return,

Hey guys,

this is my first post on your forums, so I apologise in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong category or whatever.
So far I bought the Spitfire with AccuSim and just recently the Piper J3 with AccuSim.
Yesterday, I noticed some really strange flight behavior with my Cub. (More like a strange takeoff behavior)
I'm absolutely new to flying (around 10hrs in total or so), so if this is perfectly normal, please feel free to ignore this post and hit me on the head if necessary.

When on the rwy, I slowly accelerate and as soon as the tail starts to rise all of a sudden the whole plane takes off almost 80° vertically.
Also, it's really difficult to get her back on the ground. I literally have to force her to descent onto the rwy which results in high velocity and therefor makes it even more difficult to land.

I've flown the Piper 2 times before this strange behavior occured, with no such problem. All this started yesterday.

HELP!? Please!

Sincerely,

Icarus1976

Headwind possibly ? What were your weather settings? + check realism
How much throttle, any trim ? maybe stick calibration would be needed.

To be sure, also check all pop-up screens.

Thanks for the reply Caldemeyn!

It was indeed very strong headwind. I figured this out as I was flying again today and listened to the ATIS of the airport.
This plane is awesome! Taxiing with the tailwheel up is big fun!

Thank you A2A guys! You rock!

I'm already contemplating which plane to buy next! Any recommendations? The P40 looks nice.
I'll get all of them anyway sooner or later! 8)

Im happy for you, the Cub is so light, that it will take off and land almost in place, if one knows how to do it.

Personally i don't have a P-40, but taking into account the fidelity of the accusim models, and no real problems reported i recommend it with all my might. 8)

If you would want a Spit, i would wait a little for another core update to come out.

There will be an update for the Spitfire? It's already perfect as it is. What could possibly be updated?

There are a couple of things planned to be added (for example ground effects), and some problems to be fixed, also, nothing is perfect., but spit is close.

Edit. Noticed your spit banner (Eh getting blind), i asume you already have it, then no worries.
