I'd discovered a problem with the fuel tank selector.I think it is not working
First i can start the engine also with the Selector in OFF position, and if the engine is running it don't stop if i set that in OFF Position.
If I select a empty Tank the engine also continue to run, and no fuel is used from the other tank that contain fuel, so i can fly at infinite. Only is i select the tank with fuel, the fuel is used from that and then if the other tank are also empty The engine stop.
I'd no setting in FSX for fule unlimited so i think this is a bug
I had the P-40 with no accusim installed.

Maury,

Try selecting an empty tank and do a takeoff. You should use up the fuel in the lines rather fast.

Scott.

I've run the drop tank dry in flight as there is no gauge for that it I was guessing as to when it would run out. The engine coughed and spluttered all with lovely Accusim effects and a quick check of the fuel pressure gauge confirmed the drop tank was indeed empty. Switching to the fuselage fuel was enough to continue the flight until that too ran dry and I then switched to wing tanks.

So all seems to be working on my P-40 as it should in terms of fuel system. Don't forget the fuel lines themselves hold an amount of fuel and the engine won't die as soon as an empty tank is selected, especially if just at idle on the ground.

""Try selecting an empty tank and do a takeoff ""
I can start the engine takoff and fly with no problem with the selector in cut-off position. If try to select a empty tank and fly with no problem for more that 10 minutes, the engine dont stop and the fuel in the other tank remain the same.
I can run out of fuel and get the engine to stop only move the selector on the tank with fuel. This is the only aircraft in FSX that had this problem
