Hi guys, it seems the P-40 input configurator isn't working here.
UAC off, admin rights, etc...all done, no joy. My FSX instalation is on C:\.
Win7 64 bits, Saitek Quadrant and MS Sidewinder.
Tried a reinstall, no success either. :(

Apart from that, great aircraft! Love it! Thank you.

Can you explain what you mean when you say it isn't working? Does it come up OK? If so, what exactly isn't working?

Scott.

It comes up, I can assign buttons and levers, save them but in FSX none of the assignment works.

Can you try running it straight from your A2A / P40 folder rather than the shortcut in the start menu?

Scott, I found the problem. :oops:
I had my controllers turned off in FSX, because I'm using direct FSUIPC commands.
Enabled and working now! Thanks for your support. :wink:

And I have 1 little problem.
First of all - thank you A2A for the next amazing aircraft! I realy feel the soul of this plane, almost smell its metal, oil and exhaust :wink:
It is very nice You put headphones shortcut into input config. Unfortunately, it doesn't work properly, at least with my FSX. All works fine via 2d panell, but pressing the shortcut gives the result:
on the 2d panell there is "HEADPHONES" lighted, sound doesn't change, headphones on 2d becomes turned off after 2-3 sec. Same with Spitfire. I have tried with various shortcuts - keyboard and joy :|

Anyone have the same problem with headphones or my FSX installation needs to be repaired? :wink:

I'm getting an Unhandled exception error when I try to run it in the start menu and from the folder also.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Villicus if running win7 make sure you run as admin (right click run as administrator) make sure your .net from windows up date is up to date.

Thanks Lewis, I think it's time for a new SSD. The one my OS is on is packed to the gills which may be my problem. I'll get a 160GB one this time which should last me a bit longer.

I also can't get it to work properly. I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS X and I'm trying to assign the hydraulic pump switch to a button on the stick. When I press the button in the input configurator it intercepts the button press properly (it says: "joystick:0:button:2), but when I press that button in the game the hydraulic pump isn't activated. I already tried running the configurator directly from its folder and with the Run as Administrator option via context menu, but to no avail. Also, I don't use FSUIPC to configure the controllers.

Problems here also. Running from the start menu, as admin and not, configurator comes up, but other than highlighting the various choices, nothing happens. Highlighting an option (hydraulic switch current concern), then pressing a button on joystick, nothing happens.

WinVista 64 Home. Saitek X-52. FSX in default location.

Try double clicking on an option to open the cell, then press a button.
