hey guys
well as it states in the subject does anyone have a how to vid on repainting
I've seen a few on youtube but mainly using default planes so I'd love to see one using the spitfire as I'd like to personalize mine if I can learn how to that is.
thanks
Glenn

Glenn,

I don't know about videos, but there are several tutorials at simmerspaintshop.com. Also a few good discussions on here in the p47 and other threads. It really is not that hard if you know the program you're using. (photoshop, etc.)

Read up a bit on it, and if i can answer any questions, just soot me an email or PM. Good luck!

Paint.net is a wonderful program that I use every day. However, I don't believe it will handle the layered PSD files. GIMP is a free program, that I have 0 experience with, but several people have successfully used to make better repaints than mine :). I'm purely using photoshop for the paint kits. I know there are GIMP tutorials out there.

Are you trying to make one plane, or do several? I don't want to discourage you from learning, the more people painting the better. But, if all you want is your name on it, or a different set of squadron codes, I can help you get it done, or send you something.

thanks very much
when you mean it can't handle it I think I have had that....I tried a test paint job just by putting numbers on the sides and in the DXTbmp preview it looked ok but when I went to fsx preview the numbers were not in same location ....weird ..
I'll try photo shop then the other and see how I do
thanks again.
