I am getting a bad buzzing and white noise intermittently with the P47 (in Cockpit). Any ideas?

This doesn't affect my other aircraft. Have reinstalled but still the same.

I am now keen to understand the problem because I want to buy the P40

I have to ask the obvious stuff, but did you get the latest sound drivers?

Also, can you post your system specs?

Operating system
RAM
Sound card (or on board sound)

Scott.

How intermittently? Is it throttle related? A few times on my Accu-sim warbirds I've hit the throttle too hard and got a loud buzzing/white noise sound, but I think that was just me doing damage to my engine due to pilot error.

Does your sound problem happen in relation to any input, or does it happen when flying straight and level with no throttle change? Did you also install the P-47 updates?

Good luck,

Joe

I have fixed the problem by removing my soundcard and using the on-board. Something my Creative card doesn't like about P47 and as it turns out the B17. No problems on other Accusims or anything else for that matter. But as Accusim beats anything else by a mile the sound card got the bullet!

Ah OK, makes sense. There was a day when Creative Labs owned the sound market, but that day is long gone. The company seems to have other priorities these days and the issues with their cards IMO has done more to hurt PC gaming than help.

I did the same thing last week. I was getting the BSOD when running the B17 Accusim that I was able to trace back to a Creative file that was causing the crash.

My Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer is now at the top of a pile of Mboards and old 'old' memory in my workshop!!
