Hey guys, I am a Private Pilot and have been an avid simmer for atleast 10 years, but for some reason I haven't seen a2a until recently. Anyways, I've dropped a few hundred dollars on A2A products lately... I am very interested in getting into multiplayer, but have had little look. How do you guys do it, how do I get in, what do I need, etc? I am computer savvy, but for the life of me, have not been able to make sense of the random how-to's i've found online. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Walt.

Hello Walt,
There are many different ways to experience multi-player flight in FSX.

One can join existing sessions via the FSX Multiplayer menu through Gamespy.

One can also join sessions on other servers, one of which the group I fly with uses.
It is over at Digital Theme Park and to get involved there first download and install
Teamspeak3 software for your operating system.

Then go on over to "ts3.digitalthemepark.com" and wait for Zoolander, the
creator and host there to greet you and give you access.

Once in TS3 you can get detailed instructions on what you'll need to do
to join sessions on one of their two servers.

There is a group here that does weekly flights in A2A aircraft and info for that group
can be found in the rather lengthy thread here "Proposal for a multiplayer flight".

VATSIM is another option but I have no knowledge in that realm.

I'm sure more folks will check in here with additional information.

Welcome to the A2A forums and the wonderful Accu-Sim Enhanced FSX world! :)

Here is some info on a really great online voice portal for FSX multiplayer.

Download the teamspeak client and connect to....

ts3.digitalthemepark.com

No password

and look for Zoolander.

There are a few pilots on board and anyone there wil be happy to helpya.

Digital Theme Park has it's own servers. Zoo will be able to give you the IP's.
You simply go ito FSX Multiplayer and use the "Connect Direct" route, or
whatever it is called. Enter the IP and go from there.

One of the servers is used by the 91st Bombardment Group (H) and is
offset in time by -8 hours from the main DTP server so that we have
daylight at Bassingbourn (UKBA) for our missions that go down at
1500 UTC. This also extends the useful daylight hours for everyone
since you can cjoose which server to fly in on your own if now in a
formation flight situation.
