I have been hearing a lot about ORBX scenery, so the other day I went to their website to investigate further. I was quite pleased to discover that they had free stuff. I promptly downloaded the free Portland OR scenery, as that is my home town. I went to install it, and the installer told me this " If you have Orbx FTX installed the scenery library entry will be automatically added. If you don't have FTX installed then please refer to the User Guide about manually adding the scenery library entry."
I have no idea where to find the user guide, of how to manually add the scenery as a library entry. I am posting this here because you guys are always so helpful, and for some reason, when I log into the ORBX website, to try and post on their forum, it gives me an error message that I don't have access to the topic. If anybody could help me out, I'd be much obliged.

Thanks
Torwal

All ORBX sceneries are designed to work with their terrain regions, you'll need to purchase Pacific Northwest for it to work properly.

Torwal, you might try downloading the PNW Demo along with the KHQM freeware release from the FTX site, that will give you a good idea of what FTX scenery is like.

I'm not Torwal, but did this yesterday and had only a quick flight in the Cessna. But this scenery is awesome. Especially the small airport with its small hangars, taxiway textures and birds flying and chirping around.

Thanks. I think I will try that demo. But before I do, one quick question. Is it hard on framerates?

There's a good readme file explaining different setting options.
I set target framerate to 36 and got min. 25 fps (Phenom II X4 with 3.2GHz, 4GB RAM and GeForce GTX460 1GB).
