Dear all,
I installed Accu Feel.
I do not like the wind sounds so much as they blot out most of the other sounds.
Moving the wind volume slider does not change the wind sound.
Strangely, the remedy with any plane is to click 'default'. This gets rid of the strong wind sounds. The wind sound will be moderate then and everything would be fine.
Only, upon restart of FSX, everything will be back to the status before clicking 'default'-
Similar with the A2A Accusim planes (Spit namely, I have not tried P-47 and P-40).
Hitting default switches Accu Feel off which would be fine with me.
Downside, next FSX start, everything is as before and I have to hit default again.
Rather disappointing and I will remove Accu Feel if there is no cure to the saving problem.
Any help?
Regards Karl

Karl,

This suggests something is not loading at start, but the system is communicating properly because hitting the default retrieves the proper values. Please try this to help us figure out what may be wrong:

- After you first get into the 3d portion of FSX, go to the menu and re-load your aircraft. See if this gives you correct values
- Do you have a DAT files for the aircraft in your DOCUMENTS / A2A / FSX / FEEL folder?

Scott.

Hi, thank you for answering.
No there no .dat files whatsoever in the A2A/Feel folder.
There are two .log files, sounds and accu_feel, then sounds.pk and A2AfeelInstaller.exe_debug.log.txt.
Plus manual and unwise.

What do you mean by "3d portion of FSX"?

Thank you for caring.
Hope we can solve the problem.
Cheers Karl

Karl,

Just to be clear, you have then an empty FEEL folder?

Scott.

No, the Feel folder contains this:

There are two .log files, sounds and accu_feel, then sounds.pk and A2AfeelInstaller.exe_debug.log.txt.
Plus manual and unwise.
The two .dll files created by the Accu Feel.exe are in the Modules folder

Other information in case you need it.
Win7 Professional, 9 Gigs RAM, Acceleration.
I have all recent A2a accusim planes, J3 cub, P-40, P-47, Spitfire, B-17. They work like a charm. Actually, only 4096 texture size textures (like the ones by Tom Weiss) do not shimmer. This is not related to Accu Feel though, just came to my mind.

And just to be sure, I always click "save and exit" on the Accu Feel menu.
Should there be .dat files in the Feel folder?

Karl

OK, you are looking in the FEEL folder inside FSX.

Look in this one in Microsoft Windows (not FSX):
MY DOCUMENTS / A2A / FSX / FEEL

I see.
There are a number of folders, obviously one for each plane that I saved with Accu Feel.
There is a Feel.dat in each of them.

Still, the Accu Feel status is not being saved. When I save the Spit 1a default setting, black dot, next time on start.up, it is green again.
Cheers Karl

Karl,

Try this.

Load an aircraft, make a change.

1. Close the panel, then open it again. See if the changes stick.
2. If so, then quit FSX, restart FSX and load the same aircraft, see if the changes are there

Scott.

Hello,
no it does not stick with the Spit 1a (loaded, defaulted and modified, on next FSX start it is like before).
I put the .txt suffix on the dll.s and I will use Accu Feel when I feel like it.
Maybe there will an update.
Thanks anyway Karl
