Chief,

It may not seem like we are trying to help, but the fact is we're all stumped here as to what could possibly cause the wind slider to not work on your machine. Let's try to isolate this more, if we can.

First, I assume you have tried this dll from our troubleshooting FAQ:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34075223/temp/A ... elMenu.dll

OK, next, we need to determine if Accu-Feel is running at all.

If you move your CABIN INTEGRITY slider to the left and taxi off the runway, do you hear cabin sounds? Do you hear tire screeches on landing?

Scott.

Scott, Yes the accufeelmenu.dll is installed. I did as you recommended I moved the CABIN INTEGRITY slider to the left and I didn't hear tire screeches when landing. The sounds are exactly the same if I have ACCUFEEL activated or not.
I have talked to a couple of my friends (that have ACCUFEEL installed) and the only thing they can figure out is that maybe I just happen to download a corrupt ACCUFEEL file. There is no doubt that it is installed but, not working.
What can I try next?
Thanks,

Chief

OK, it seems you have no sound.

If you have your Shock Absorption slider to the left and taxi off the runway, do you get any sharp jolts from the ground physics?

Scott.

No I don't get any sharp jolts at all. As I said before I have tried all possible scenarios for both sound and feel with no difference between having ACCU_FEEL on and/or off.
Flying in stormy weather taxing on and off runway, flying with open doors etc.
Thanks for helping me find a solution.

It seems Accu-Feel is not able to access your FSX system. Do you have our Piper J3, but chance? I ask because we have a towing feature that accesses the physics, and am wondering if this works.

Did you try this part of the FAQ, re-installing the SimConnect module:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34075223/downlo ... onnect.msi

Also, and I have to ask, have you restarted your computer since having issues? Some don't restart, and FSX can hang in sections that are only fixed by a complete computer shutdown and restart.

Lastly, there are two dll's in accufeel. I can see you have the menu, but do you recall getting TWO confirmations to load a DLL when first installing?

Scott.

No I dont have the Piper J3

Yes I did the FAQ on Sim connect

I don't recall getting confirmations to load the Dll perhaps that is the problem, how do I fix that?

Thank you,

Chief

The list of trusted DLL's is kept here:
C:\Users\[USER NAME]\appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg

Open this file with notepad. Scroll down for:
[TRUSTED]

You should see a lot of lines with a .DLL inside. Search for the lines with:
A2A_Feel.dll
and
AccuFeelMenu.dll

and delete those two lines. The next time you boot, you should get confirmation to trust these dlls again.

Scott.

Scott,

I followed your instructions, deleted the the 2 lines A2A_Feel.dll and AccuFeelMenu.dll and rebooted and I did get confirmation to trust the dlls. But AccuFeel is still not working and the menu setting are not being saved.
The sounds and the physics remain the same with or without AccuFeel on.

Chief,

OK, so we now now the DLL's are being read, but not working. So something in interfering.

Can you post your basic system specs:
- Operating system
- Malware protection (like MS Security Essentials?)
- List of FSX addons

Scott.

As an IT techie and as a general PC hint/tips;
I have to ask if you have tried turning Norton completly OFF and installing and then running. (Personal opinion based on experience from work as an IT guy fixing personal and business computers; Norton is a nasty horrible bit of kit that has a tendancy to do more harm than good.)

There are some serious addons there as well. I wonder if, just as a test, disabling them in the dll.xml and only running accufeel would result in it running. If so, then added them back in slowly to see if there is some kind of issue?
