Snapper here to give a brief self-intro. I've downloaded and installed the WPO3 Spitfire + Accusim about a week ago and I've got to say: I'm completely thrilled with it! Being new to FSX it took a bit of poking around to get everything sussed out, but I quickly discovered this forum and found that "SEARCH" is my friend. :)

I fly 1C's "Cliffs of Dover" online virtually every night. Love the gameplay and considering the scope of this air combat sim they've done an incredible job of modelling many of the aircrfaft and their variants. But being a Spitfire-aholic since reading Al Deere's "Nine Lives" as a young lad back in '63, I found myself craving more detail. A2A certainly delivered on THAT! LOL

Of course, as most of you probably well understand, I've now become an addon-aholic. REX, GEX, UTX-Canada.....just wish I could add those letters after my name. People would be impressed!

Just wanted to say "Hi". Now it's back to reading these very informative threads. So much to learn here!!!!

Cheers,

Snapper

Welcome, Snapper! Have you tried any other Accu-Sim birds yet? The P-40 is great, and like the Spitfire it represents early variants. So it is very hands on to fly. And since it was also flown by the RAF, it is practically a sister (or cousin) to the Spit! Very much worth adding to your sim!

Joe

Thanks for the heads up on the "Led Sled" , Joe, I'll definitely keep it in mind. I can't believe the degree of detail that A2A has put into these aircraft.

Hello and welcome,

thanks for the kind words, it really does mean alot to the team when new comers join up and let us know how much they are enjoying our sims. Be careful with the add-on addiction though, it can get really bad once you start mixing freeware with payware and discover the power of a real custom simulation experience hehe

thanks,
Lewis

Hi Lewis
You wrote: "Be careful with the add-on addiction though, it can get really bad once you start mixing freeware with payware and discover the power of a real custom simulation experience hehe "

That reminds me of a great comment from Darryl: "A fool and his money.....are soon in charge of more aircraft than he can handle"

So yes, rc flyer, 99% of A2A pilots, including myself.. are such "fools" But we ALL learn eventually to handle the aircraft "

YEP!! I'm another one of those fools

Another "Add on Addict" but especially an A2A Addict

Just wanted to add my thanks. Been putting off buying any new stuff for fsx but kept coming back to accusim. Took the plunge yesterday and bought the spit with the accusim add on and goodness I'm glad I did. Absolutely amazing! Adds such a huge layer to flight simming, a brilliant job and frankly a bargain price. Now, how long can I resist the p40? :)
