Is it right that the AI when damaged still acts as if it has not been, i.e. smoking engine still flys like an undamaged one? Ver 4.11

Really liking the game though apart from this but it can be frustrating to shoot a plane up and then watch it go on to shoot one of your wingmen down.

Hi and welcome to BOBII and the BOBII forums and community.

Any damage that is applied to a A/C stays with the the A/C and the damage will affect how the A/C flys and maneuvers. Specificly, engine damage takes a time to l feel or see the effects. The amount of time will depend on the the type and amount of damage.

As an example, take some engine damage youself (players A/C) and try to continue fighting in minutes the A/C will get underpowered and perform in a poorer manner. This will occur in minutes. The AI have the same damage but because the AI Controls occur every 25 ms the AI can control the A/C better than a human player so the AI A/C may appear to fly OK but the damage effects will increase over time.
