Hello, I bought the p47 thunderbolt a while back and I live in mexico and I was wondering if anyone knew anyone that would be generous enough to make a Mexican P47 livery like the one in this page http://www.mexaero.bravejournal.com/entry/25762

Its not very complicated. Hopefully someone knows someone that knows someone that does repaints lol.

Thanks.

Which version of the P-47 do you have? I assume it is the most recent one, the Wings of Power 3 Razorback model that can be paired with AccuSim?

I believe that technically the Mexican Air Force never flew "razorback" P-47Ds with their squadron and national colors. The 201st Squadron trained in the U.S. through the second half of 1944 to become proficient with the Thunderbolt, then sailed to the Phillipines in early 1945 and joined the American 58th Fighter Group in May. They had some additional familiarization training with borrowed Thunderbolts before receiving their own P-47Ds. All the photographic evidence I've seen show their combat aircraft as late model 'bubble top' Thunderbolts.

I do hope someone can make you a repaint with these markings, even if just as a representative tribute to the Aztec Eagles.

Yep, it looks like you did. I thought I had seen once upon a time for one of the A2A Thunderbolts. A quick search shows that you had posted screenshots in the WoP3 Thunderbolt repaints thread and in a seperate thread, but those screenshots don't appear anymore. And it looks like the repaint was uploaded to Sim Out-House, which I never have any luck logging onto.

The webpage I posted is a certain marking of the Mexican airforce markings found in a museum in Guadalajara I believe.

The markings on the one pictured in the museum are post-war, approximately early 1950s if I remember correctly.

yes they should be. Most of the world started flying all these aircraft after USA turned to jets.
