Gerrit,

Just the rudder? How about the ailerons and elevators? Could be that the control lock is on? Check at the base of the stick, red bracket behind it.

Glenn

My ailerons and elevators are moving normaly.
Control lock is off.
I am flying with all the A2A aircraft and it never happened before.
I have no accusim on the mustang yet.

Greetings Gerrit.

I too am having issues with the rudder. The controls are unlocked, and autorudder is off. The rudder trim works, but the rudder itself does not. Inside the cockpit, whenever I attempt to use the rudder, the pedals glitch out, and it looks as if something is forcing them to stay centered. And same as above, it should be noted that my aileron/elevator controls work just fine.

I tried it a couple seconds ago. If the engine is off, no, or very little movement. If the engine is running, normal movement - stick position in either position. Whether that's right or not, we'll need to see what Scott or Robb think.

Even when my engine is running the rudder doesn't work. But yeah, I guess we'll just have to wait to hear what either of them think :/

How did you start the engine? It may make a difference if you used auto-start, versus start from load, versus cold and dark?

Also, have you updated to the Accusim Core 1.3.1?

I always start the engine manually, following the in-game (shift+2) checklist step-by-step. After your most recent post though, I tried both manually starting and auto starting the engine from both cold and dark and from the load, and still no rudder. And yes, I have downloaded and installed the 1.3.1 accusim core update :/

I assume you have tried resetting the flight, and cycling the stick lock (turn it on, and then turn it off) ? State of the engine should have no effect on any of the controls :|

There is also deleting the .dat file, but that's not very elegant solution, although if everything else fails, you may try it.

Do you by accident push the stick forward on take off ? This unlocks the tail wheel - something you should AVOID in a P-51 when applying more than run-up power.

If you taxi with the tail wheel unlocked, make sure to do a short, slow straight run down the runway, with stick aft, to be sure it locks in. I also advise to keep the stick slightly aft, and ease it off slowly when the aircraft wants to raise the tail. You can also keep the plane in nose high attitude, on all three wheels, and apply some flaps (no more than 20°) to perform minimum-run take off.

Yup, tried both of those. I also tried deleting the .dat file, and still no luck.

Are the rudder pedals totally blocked or you can move them a little?
Be aware that pedals and stick can be locked individually. If you move that red locking triangle backwards, it engages the pedals lock (after you center them) by the green bent rod that runs forward from the "red trinalge" to the pedals. The stick may not be lock unless you center it and the locking pin catches up. So, you may experience locked pedals and movable stick.
I want to exclude this situation.

regards
ROB

I made a short video showing what is happening:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0Qe-xfD ... e=youtu.be
The rudder pedals look as if they're trying to move (hence the glitching out shown in the video), but something is forcing them to stay centered. As one can see in the video, I did try messing around a bit with the controls lock, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the problem.

What controllers you have plugged in ?
If more than one, check FSX axis configuration panel, you may have more than one controller axis assigned to rudder pedals. You may also try unplugging devices that may be seen as game controllers, even if they are not assigned.
