Does anyone know why my pics are all thumbnails? They are uploaded to Photobucket. Ive tried everything I can think of all I can get is a thumbnail. Ive used pics on other forums and they are fine. Used to the pics i posted here were fine then all of the sudden they are all like this. Anyways, ive got lots of Memphis Belle pics to post.

When you are posting which code are you using?
You need to use the last code in Photobucket the IMG tag

This happened to me once. Check your upload settings on photobucket. I checked the link you posted, and this appears to be the full size image. Still check Ron's theory just in case, but I didn't see a large copy. It is probably auto resizing the pictures when you upload them. At least that is what happened to my stuff at one point. Check out the upload options and see if that helps. Unfortunately you'll have to re-upload the pictures once you fix the settings.

Awesome pictures. The B-17 Flying Fortress Sentimental Journey will be at my closest airport next week in the Tacoma,WA USA area .I just ordered a 32 GB SD card for my pocket camcorder so I'll be hopefully recording some videos and post them at my youtube channel.I might go Friday on June 28th and on Sunday July 1st with a friend as he seems very interested. One docent for past shows there Kenneth Wheeler was a B-17 navigator in the 5th Bomb Wing which was the same wing as my father in WW2.He even went on missions to bomb the Blechhammer synthetic fuel plant targets and since a kind person (a 483rd BG kid) gave me a Blechhammer navigators target map I decided to give it to him a few years ago.Ken I think retired as a Lt. Colonel in the USAF.By coincidence he also was a close friend of my dad's friend who was a Marine Corsair Pilot in WW2.I don't believe that he had ever met my father though which is unfortunate as they would probably have had long talks about those old missions.
Blechhammer was special to Ken because his aircraft was hit and he eventually had to bail out and evade capture in Yugoslavia.I chuckled looking at the Blechhammer map because there was a canal on the map named the Adolf Hitler canal.Ha Ha no doubt renamed after the war.
I don't know if he is still alive (he would be in his mid 90's) though or able to be at the show but if he is there I'll try to get a quick interview of him-perhaps if I'm lucky.Maybe I'll get lucky and get another WW2 vet quick interview perhaps.
Also there will be an airworthy T-33 there as well. The town (now city) that I grew up in named Fircrest had either a T-33 or a P-80 Shooting Star in the towns park as a war memorial. It was really cool at the time and we loved it as children.Unfortunately though in the 1980's it was removed.
I'll be doing some videos of this and other aircraft (maybe other things too) as well. Not a lot of aircraft but an interesting selection.
Here is my local upcoming event.

Sentimental Journey was supposed to be at the Olympic Gathering Of Warbirds on Saturday down in Olympia...but it wasn't able to fly because of mechanical issues. :(

Why will it be up in Tacoma?

Oh no I was tempted to see it in Olympia because I have a close friend that resides there who is also an avid fellow cyclist.
I'll have to recheck if it does come to the Tacoma Narrows Airport.By the way my father was aboard Sentimental Journey on one my uploaded Youtube videos back in 1985 on the 50th anniversary of the B-17.If it turns out that she will be a no show I'll still show up for the T-33 or to possibly see/interview Kenneth Wheeler if he still is alive (perhaps I should give him a telephone call too).To me it's a personal thanks to see Sentimental Journey.Too bad that I haven't been able to afford a ride though as that would be a awesome lifetime experience.Don't have the spare cash for that kind of expenditure as of now.Sentimental Journey is also scheduled for the 4th of July Freedom fair in Tacoma as well to fly overhead in the 4th of July celebrations.

Love that B-17. I have an hour of signed log book time in her from back in 2004. Old Pat and Frank were great guys to fly with. I wonder if they are still involved?

Yeah, I was super bummed when I found out it was grounded for the day. I take it you live in the area? Any plans to go to the 2012 Air Expo at McChord in July?

Yes I grew up in Fircrest and currently live in my own house in Tacoma. My mother still resides in Fircrest though.I am not sure if I'll go there this year although I have went to previous shows in the past.Good old Camp Lewis and McChord field.
One reason is that I am now car less (sold my finally kaput 36 year old car this year as it was too uneconomical to fix) and currently get around mostly by either riding a near all weather Veltop equipped electric bicycle, taking public transit buses or getting rides from family and friends.I could have easily taken out a car loan but I didn't want to get in debt and besides I have lost some weight and am in better physical condition now by riding.Still about 50 pounds overweight though according to the BMI.I did lose 10 pounds of excess body weight just last month though.
I only use the tiny 250 watt electric assist motor for help up hills though.Being so fat and out of shape I needed the help.

Awesome phillik747 you lucky son of a gun.Great pics.

Yeah man its been awhile. I have many thing that tends to keep me away from FSX these days however I sill love to kick back a cold one and fly online a little. I have also started to find it rewarding to go on and help young flyers learn a few thing about flying. With the real pilot population going down I think helping these younger group of flyer get motivated in flying is one avenue to growth. (i digress, err..... how that happen :) )

Yeah getting the chance to fly in the Belle was amazing and I will always remember that experience. I made a video of it and have a few clips of the start up and takeoff. I just need to get around to sharing it. Some of the few things that I will never forget: 1) the sound/power of the 4 engines coming to life on takeoff; 2) flying the Belle and how much delay there was from when you put the turn input in to when she decided to go; 3) flying in the pattern with a P-51 and replica Zero doing circles around us!

Pat and Frank had me pull the props through and they didn't offer to help, in fact I think they were laughing at me  Oh well I was happy to do it. I still have the shirt that got splashed from oil with I was yanking on the props.

Kyle
