Hi, purchased this months ago, but finally got to play with it, i think best plane in my fleet. I dont have COTS yet, will do next pay, but I do have accusim. I use FSUIPC to cal my joystick, which has twin throttle, one drives engines 1 and 2 the other 3 and 4. On take off engine 3 was running a little hotter and with more power than the rest , i had just tweaked engine 4 throttle but when i moved engine 3 with my mouse it froze, and that nasty win7 spinning blue circle appeared. I probably wont have time before the weekend to try again, but i will let you know how it goes. The other issue is the cowl flaps i read another about them. When you use the tab to move them all they ll move rather quickly makes it hard to control, but it seems i will have to tweak them individually which is fine. Was a bit scared at first but i am enjoying it at least my copilot hasnt told me off yet.

Thanks for a great product

Well i finally finished my first flight, no crash this time even though I was tweaking each throttle individually. but i think your co pilot in the accusim is a liar or butt kisser, He said nice landing, even though i think if it was a real one i would of snapped the landing gear. Was my fault misscalculated air speed.

Love it now to try COTS that I just got.

The crew "should" be a bit nicer as you start flying the aircraft in the beginning if I recall correctly, and as you continue your career will be harder on you. At least that is how it works with the B-17. Those struts are pretty strong, so who knows!

You will find that the engines all control slightly differently, and it's not necessarily uncommon to have them all tweaked slightly. In FSUIPC you can normalize the throttle using the "sync" button, which may help after you calibrate them. I tend to find however with the 377 that I had to control some of the throttle individually because of various power outputs from each throttle. Part of the run-up process however requires you to run the engines up and tweak the individual turbos for each engine, syncing them together. Make sure you complete this critical part of the checklist.
