Wow, amazing work. I know is not easy to create that metallic shine like the old American liveries. But you did it flawlessly.

Thanks Ferradini. Actually there is no Metallic paint. The silver is polished aluminum with a polished prop. You can tell better by actually moving it around in the sim then in these pictures. Also has variation shine in some of the panels. You can see some of these in the pics but you'll just have to check it out in the sim to grasp the whole scoop. The wheel pants are slightly duller to replicate painted fiberglass.

Thanks again.

Okay, okay....you can stop now! I have too many repaints now, it takes a couple of minutes just to figure out which rig to pull from the hanger.... so stop it!

Wow, Alan, just wow!

All I can think about is seeing that polished aluminum as a base for the default factory red paint scheme- makes me think of an Ercoupe!!!

Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!

Cheers-

Joe

Thanks Joe! I hope to see some pics of it flying from you guys. I'm curious how it looks in different lighting conditions like at dawn and dusk and different bloom effect from other simmers.

Glad you like it everyone.

Yes sir! that was the trick. Of course it all depends on the actual color and placement of the colors on the actual Fresnel hehe

This will serve a good starting point for those who wish to make a polished finish but keep in mind... you also have to adjust all four layers too. But yes, for the most part it works great. Thanks Lewis.

awash2002 asked me to come up with something for the EAA Oshkosh Air show coming up so what better way to make a classic design to fit in with an iconic airshow event.

Cheers everyone!

I took this one for a flight last night and noticed one small problem with this one. The panel is endorsed with the ID for another plane, N9955P.

Can this be removed, please? That aside, it's a beautiful paint job. I'd love to see more polished metal jobs for the Cherokee.

Cheers,
Mike
