Finished Repaints
Re: Finished Repaints
Good to see that in the final version you even gave attention to the pilots. Flying suit as well as arm badge! Thumbs up to you! Hope all repainters give attention to this finer detail.ebo wrote:The long wait is over. ZU-FLM can be downloaded from here.

Re: Finished Repaints
What font did you use for the word "Lackland"?
Great job BTW.

Many may fly and some are rewarded
handsomely, but the wings of gold of a
United States Naval Aviator mean more
than flying. It is dearly bought, requires
sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

I still have some minor issues with something showing up that I can not understand and was asking for help. No one have replied upon that post yet...

The U.S. Armed Forces never used a yellow-outlined roundel such as that one.JoeS475 wrote:Ummmm, do a Google Image search for this aircraft. This repaint is spot on perfect!pjc747 wrote:The 1943 roundel should be outlined in red, not gold.zsoltfireman wrote:F-AZDU

Re: Finished Repaints
That might be true but the aircraft that's being replicated here has a it yellow outlined as well. Check out the real world pictures:pjc747 wrote: The U.S. Armed Forces never used a yellow-outlined roundel such as that one.

That is an amazing repaint!
B377&COTS, J3 Cub, B-17G, Spitfire, P-40, P-51D, C172, C182, Pa28, Pa24, T-6 Texan, L-049&COTS, Bonanza V35B
Re: Finished Repaints
Exactly. There are tons of highly inaccurate real world paint jobs out there on Texans and other warbirds, and this is one of them (notice the later war roundel is on all four wing surfaces?)... But this repaint perfectly captures the real world aircraft, including all it's inaccuracies... I love that!Piper_EEWL wrote:That might be true but the aircraft that's being replicated here has a it yellow outlined as well.
