 Post subject: B-29 from the 40's-50's

Tomorrow, I'll have my 23rd birthday. My girlfriend's mom bought me an aluminium B-29 model in an antiquities store. It's about 50-60 years old, they said. It looks gorgeous :D

Yes..but it can't be from Hungary.It's an old piece (pretty weary too), and in the communist regime if you had a such american bomber, they would have arrested you (or worse) Those were pretty hard times. So it has to be of a different origin...but where?

Don't forget that the Soviet Union made their own knockoff of the B-20, the Tu-4 Bull. There were an almost bolt-for-bolt copy so it would be difficult to tell the difference.
