At Amazon.com you can get a look at the first page. It appears to actually be the late war training manual, an excellent familiarization text but not as technical as the actual Pilot's Operating Instructions.

I have nothing against Periscope Films; after all, they are making these historic manuals available again in printed form. And the price is reasonable. However, my experience is that they reproduce the manuals in black-and-white only wheras most AAF manuals used at least some color. The late-war manuals were very colorful, and sometimes reproducing them in black-and-white makes some of the text illegible.
