RCAF 3270

Post by blackhawks »

I took a road trip in March to Trenton, ON (via the Blackhawks Redwings game in Detroit) to the National Air Force Museum of Canada. This nicely restored Harvard was sitting there, and I took a boatload of pictures. Several hours (days... weeks...) of stenciling later...

At long last, I've actually finished a repaint I've been working on. Sorry for the long absence. Joe, yours will be done soon.

Should you find yourself near Trenton, Ontario - or decide 5 hours away is close enough - go check out the museum. The Halifax is amazing!

I'll try not to take a year before the next few paints, I hope you like this one.

Thanks guys!

I've learned from the other painters and started using the 32 bit 8.8.8.8 ARGB. I will probably go back over at least my B-17s and update them to this standard.

As for the T6, has anyone figured out the map of the stencils.dds file? I know the one section covers the main fuse panel, but haven't been able to figure out the rest (aside from the prop logo).

401 is getting started tonight Joe.

Awesome, Mike, can't wait!

Thanks, Darryl, I took it this Saturday... These 4 birds had just performed a beautiful missing man formation in honor of Bill Gordon (who passed last week ditching the AAM's P-47 in the Hudson River). Very, very moving indeed...

"Missing man" formations are always sad for me. A beautiful sig mate!

Small update extending the black anti-glare.

Joe, 401 is uploaded as well. I'll make a post in the finished paints thread for it.
