Thanks for your input Capflyer. Please indicate where the photographic evidence and/or preferable video of the well established flight of the Wright B Flyer is available. All the video I have seen of recent attempts were failures of the first Wright Flyer - that seems more relevant.
Regards.

Re: Some comments on the L049 Connie and L049 manual (UPDATE
As a postscript to my first post, dear-o -dear, I have just finished viewing a video program that has presented growing evidence that the Wrights were not the first to conduct powered flight in 1903. Although this has been discussed for some years it was the first time I investigated this apparently...

Some comments on the L049 Connie and L049 manual
Some comments on the L049 Connie and L049 manual First up, the L049 produced by A2A as usual is a superb and outstanding aircraft simulation. Congratulations to Robert Rogalski, in my book the “Rembrandt†aircraft texture artist, panel designs and assistant programmer. And of course Scot...

Re: Something Magical
If have been critical at times in this forum, (it’s of benefit sometimes not to be entirely sycophantic, how else are individuals to improve even further? I lamented for example in A2A about not having rain simulated on the A2A aircraft windscreens and one is of the reasons for immersi...

Re: Full GTN integration with the Connie?
[quote="n421nj"]I guess I'll be that guy ( sorry Scott) will the B377 be retrofitted to accept the GTN's? It has become worth it to purchase the GTNs now that they can be used in the c172, c182, pa24, pa28, t6, p51, connie. If you buy the gtn650 thats roughly $7 extra per plane. The gtn750...

Re: Lancaster experience
One of my memorable experiences was while visiting the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum; I got to sit in the 'drivers seat' of their Lanc VRA. What a great old gal she is. She visited the UK a year or so ago, and met her UK sisters. :) Yes, it was lovely to see those two old ladies gracing our Eng...

Re: Rain drops streaking the canopy ?
Those planes also don't have Accusim, and aren't including window fogging, and other very advanced animations. A2A model rendering is astonishing but it would be worthwhile listing what these "very advanced animations" are so that those wishing for rain streaking could see a listing rathe...

Re: Jan Visser VC C-47 Textures Preview
Well given the excellent cockpit work by Visser and that doing the props properly is so much easier, all I'm saying is it just distracts from an otherwise great product. That's its freeware is irrelevant in my opinion.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: Jan Visser VC C-47 Textures Preview
Can I suggest that the modeller that created the prop rotation on this DC3 get advice from A2A on how to do it realistically. Whilst the props start-up looks OK, having darkened wedges rotating slowly in the prop circle is not what the human eye sees in reality. The human eye just sees ‘flicke...

Re: Just asking and dreaming
If memory serves right A2A (under a different name) did have an early Lancaster. The Lancaster referred to in this thread is free but it is in no way as good as the payware version, not perfect but the best available in my opinion with a number of different models. It also works with DX10. http://ww...

Re: Raindrop effects
Thanks Lewis, but you did not answer my question. Have you seen the effect in the Dukes? The FSX 2004 rain effect is not, and I emphasize, not, what has been done in the Dukes. I would suggest that the A2A developers just go and have a look at the effect. It is actually quite mild and does not appea...

Re: Raindrop effects
Thanks for the reply Lewis. Lewis have you actually seen the rain effect in the Duke Prop and Turbine.? Both Dukes aircraft also have practically what Accu-Sim offers, and yes vibrations as well. So I am still not convinced that it can’t be done. I have been using Flightsim for more than 25 y...

Re: Raindrop effects
Sorry Lewis I think you are wrong on this. The raindrop effects are available for example in the RealAir Duke Prop and more recent Duke Turbine V2 in FSX. It is not what you are naming as a 2004 effect it is much newer than that. They are not “static†drops that appear in the 2D cockpit ...

Re: GTN 750 and Weather Architect
As far as I can see Weather Architect's strong point is that it is very good at creating your own storm weather and rainfall/snow fronts and areas with numerous setup optional parameters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtOoYBHuyH8 Molleh is right Active Sky is a more extensive general weather gener...
