Re: The Wright Brothers DID Invent the Airplane
yea it does, when it came to actually controlling aeroplanes the wrights were ahead of everyone else at the time. dont get me wrong i'm not saying they weren't extremely clever and everything they did was a hoax, i'm saying that when it comes to saying stuff like "they invented the aeroplane&qu...

Re: The Wright Brothers DID Invent the Airplane
truth of the matter is that no one now will ever know for sure, there were several plausible claims to be the first, but the wrights had the foresight to heavily document theirs, unlike the others and just to play devils advocate .. could the Wright flyer really be classed as a aeroplane? it couldn'...

Re: Solid State Drives (SSD) and FSX
Thank you for suggestion. I've got 16 meg of memory on computer . . . a bit less on me . . . But, seems like FSX never gets close to using more than 4 meg RAM. When I check it using Process Explorer, once FSX gets near using 4 meg (3.7 or 3.8), it crashes. I gather that's about right for FSX. But, ...

Re: Looping a C-130
I suggest you bother to actually look around CAP,it may not have "technically" been a loop in the strictest sense as they pulled to one side afterwards, but it DID go over the top inverted and there's loads of videos and photos showing it. Saying they didn't is just insulting the pilots an...

@cessna lover, the Junkers Ju-52 was the first all-metal airplane. Here are the details: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_52 The sound of the - not always synchronized - engines is beautiful! Volker actually it wasnt the first, the first was the Junkers J1 from ww1. Junkers where doing al...

Re: Facebook in the news and my own recent experience...
the main issue with facebook is that people have (and do) share EVERYTHING on it, personal or not. THAT is the problem. Big company's have always harvested data on customers and then sold that info to either other businesses or politicians. How much data facebook collects about you depends how much ...

Re: UK Totally Paralysed!
Stiz, around here, we have had this much snow almost every year - 'this much' being, right now, barely an inch, if that. And still we can't cope with it properly. That is the story every year - even a light dusting triggers amber alerts, runways closed, schools closed, the police advising people no...

Re: UK Totally Paralysed!
Thats global warming for ya ? No, it's about Britain's lamentable preparedness for what is normal weather at these latitudes in winter. It happens every year, and gets bloody tiresome. And John...Amen. actually it DOESNT happen every year in the UK, sure the higher bits and scotland get it yearly, ...
