Re: ETE - Instant Action

Here are some jostick possibilities, http://www.saitekusa.com/prod/joysticks.htm And some additional flight gear, namely the throttle quadrant and rudder pedals http://www.saitekusa.com/prod/proflight.htm From looking at your husband's stick, he has aileron and elevator control, so whether he uses p...

Re: Slow Loading

Yes it can. It's amazing how just one little program can actually have such a far reaching affect on other software.

Re: New bug with the radio commands?

That takes a knack. The 109 pilots will try to get you to follow them in a wide curve at high speed, and sucker punch you as his wingman blindsides you. If you catch it, you can either hit F1, or CTRL F1 and pick up on the ruse. Everytime I get nailed, it is usually this ploy that gets me.

Re: New Nvidia

I would like to see a ground pounder game that isn't scripted missions that lets you land on Normandy, with either the US, British, or Canadian forces. Or defend and slowly retreat as a German player. Would be neat to include the early days of North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. Also an amrmour oriente...

Re: New bug with the radio commands?

Once you call for the nearest airfield with the distress call, all the radio commands will usually be open to you since you are now detached from the squadron. Even if you decide to fly as a wingman. One thing I noticed though is your squadmates will usually ignore you over the RT after calling out ...

Re: New Nvidia

Only advantage would be if you are running in SLI with two vidcards, and your games support PhysX. I had the stock 169.44 drivers came with the card's disk. I have tried all of the drivers from there up to 180.48, and the only thing I noticed was a rough 10 to 12 fps increase with the 178.15 drivers...

Re: Odd Graphics Glitch

Mikedora, The latest version everybody is using is 2.08. http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10951 See if this version will help with your graphical errors. Also as a note, version 2.09 should be out fairly soon. As to an exact date, I do not know of one yet. The only thing ...

Re: New Nvidia

Seavee, that's a tough one. I haven't had any issues running new drivers, other than getting used to the proceedures for working with Vista. We basically have the same video card, although yours is a step up from mine. I did the same as you with DirectX, and got the same message you did with the Dec...

Re: Udet buoy ? ! ?

That is very true Bader. About the missions in the campaign. In almost what will be nine years of flying BoB, from the Rowan days to the latest version of the updated A2A version, I think I can honestly say that I have yet to see what looked like a repeat to a mission. That is astonishing considerin...

Re: Udet buoy ? ! ?

You have to select a German (French) airfield. I know, it would be better to suppress the British ones, but somehow we never got round to it, and anyway you can always fly an RAF aircraft if you wish to ;). If you read the briefing it does say you have to take off from Calais (Marck) (you'll have a...

Re: Not Responding! :(

Aambroziak, Looking at your system specs, and if I am reading them right, your rig is about as powerful as my old one that melted down 18 months ago, or so. I don't think it, like my old rig has enough horsepower to really run BoBII satisfactory enough to be pleasing for you. My old computer with al...

Re: trimming aircraft

I have other flight sims that have easy to use trim up/down keyboard keys that work quite nicely even though they're also jyostick-preferred sims. I was just quite surprised that BOB2 doesn't seem to have a very user friendly keyboard method for doing this. I will try your suggestions and others I ...

Re: POST VIDEO CLIPS AND VIDEO LINKS HERE

Thanks Trumper! I love the sound of those engines! I know jets are faster and can do vertical climbs to ceiling, but there's nothing better than the sound of a RR Merlin, and it's license built brother made by Packard. Now to get the sound of multiple Merlins and DB 601s While flying in formation. T...

Re: trimming aircraft

Hey Redhill, Even though I have other flightsims too, the learning curve and flight dynamics of the BoBII aircraft is much higher. Not having the graduated deflection capable with a joystick, the keyboard lacks that ability. Also on landing especially the RAF Spitfire and Hurricane need a slight con...
