Re: Accu-Sim Comanche 250 MSFS Paintkit

Hi folks, did I miss something with the paintkit? The fuselage texture has a separate dirt layer. The tip tanks, on the other hand, seem only to have a combined detail and dirt layer. Also, the fuselage dirt doesn't look top of the line. The dirt layer on the uppers isn't really as dirty as the side...

Re: Oooh, nice!

True enough Ron. But mostly bad paintkits are my fault - I expect more than makes reasonable sense. Making a good base for liveries takes time, effort, knowledge and patience; That's probably a costing factor for some devs not to mention skillsets in different painter programs. In my case I have bee...

Logitech switch and multi panels

Does anyone have these and are you experiencing my problem: Using the Logitech hardware I notice that operating switches on those panels sometimes, often, conflicts with the Cheyenne cockpit onscreen. Spurious odd VC switch movements when you use the Logi gear. Really odd things, even a couple of ms...

TDS GTNXi and things.

I have already asked TDS about this and they commisserate. Their panel is automatically linked into the cockpit of the Comanche, although I was under the impression I could move it "out" of the sim onto a touchscreen monitor (in my case a linked Surface Pro). TDS say they are working on it...

Re: Oooh, nice!

Yes Ron. Indeed. But I must be honest - it is a really beautiful creation and unlike some other aircraft, the Comanche didn't try to kill me. I really love the ground handling. Sticky wheels! Turns on braking. Aerodynamic feedback in flight. Love the TDS GTNXi integration. I can't praise this model ...

Oooh, nice!

I left FSX quite a few years ago now and turned to the dark side in and with msfs2020. After a couple of disappointing years, I have been off flying sims since early last year - poor modelling, awkward repaints, overly complicated paintkits and too many steps needed to create a set of new textures a...

Oh, and yes, I do realise how old the original request is, but perhaps some of you are indeed enjoying the new iteration of flightsim.

Re: Repaint Request: NHS Spitfire

Hi, I was just browsing this forum after an absence of many years. Far too many! I had actually given up on FSX aroud 5 or 6 years back, but am now back to simming in msfs. I just saw your post and had to drop by to let you know I have done exactly this paint for the msfs Spitfire Mk IX by FlyingIro...

Re: MSFS 2020 Paint Kits

You can always use the ATC option to change your tail number when you are preparing a flight. You can even add a callsign and flight number - MSFS actually converts your callsign to speech. So of course - GSKIN Eagleskinner 101 is often making the skies unsafe and ATC is talking to me by name with t...

Reno Race tuned T6s

I'm back... Anyway, I have searched the forums and found out that there aren't any Accusim tweaks to uprate the T6 (or the P51 for that matter) to race tuned versions - which is a great pity, because there was a T6 out there - I believe it was the Alphasim one - this one had a tuning option made ava...

Re: Be aware before you upgrade to windows 10

I updated to 10 on my MS Surface pro 3. Win 10 requires a "Live" account as a must have, so even if you turn off all automatic updates, you are still connected to MS in one way or another. Then Win 10 decided to forget my Live account password. I wasn't born yesterday so I know the right p...

Re: Aaaagh!

Been there, done that, had a rant or three... yep - it's a nerve-wracking experience. Hasn't anyone invented a 3D art program where you can drow the lines direct onto a 3d model. Oh yes. They have. 3DS Max... but going that way is where we could really use the modeller's help. I have found a few mod...

Re: Eagleskinner is back - new W-i-P

Oooh i missed this reply. This is not a rant... When the modeller peels off pieces from the model and slots them on to the textures it would be nice if he kept the same scale - have you seen how godawful some differently scaled parts look side by side? Say there's a door panel on the fuselage that i...
