I tried LANing the latest version on our home LN with my son.

Didn't try every option, but found that only the quick mission one-on-one would work properly for us. Other options all producd hangs of the host PC.

Any advice gratefully received, though.

My mistake. The same issue has now begun happening on the 'bad' PC in SP too. So it's not MP-related after all. Sorry for the confusion.

Graphics card on the 'bad' (and older) PC is a GeForce 7600GT running 92.91 drivers. Would a driver update do any good?

Actually hadn't visited in a while, partly because of the MP issue. I had been MPing the old BoB I, but with the shift to a new home PC found I couldn't seem to run the two sims side by side any more.
