Re: Stock and 3rd Party Avionics Options
I'm hoping to see an improvement in the stock GNS400 as far as terrain display is concerned. In the 182, it is fairly washed out colour-wise compared to what I see in the 172 rendition of the same unit. Searched the forums and couldn't find any resolution to the difference.

Re: flaps and engine sound
I get that too, as well as when I click a switch or a knob that has its own sound. It seems to muffle, but not displace, the main sounds temporarily; the main sounds fairly quickly return to their normal volumes. Don't know why this is or whether it is alterable.

You only painted the top half of the rectangle (if you are referring to the post in "Cherokee Spinner"). I think you'll need to paint the whole rectangle the desired colour.

Re: Nav & Strobe lights
This important notice from Milviz in their C310 package seemed to cure the bleed-through in my planes. "For best visual results it is *highly recommended* that the user edit their default FSX Cameras.cfg file to add a missing entry. The default Cameras.cfg file is located in the same folder as ...

Re: Cold and dark Cub.
Hi Ron,
Not sure if those two items are faithfully saved on the default 172, but you could of course load your default 172 flight, switch to the cub, make it cold and dark, change back to the default 172 and save again. Might work...worth a try.

If you've identified the object and can locate the texture file, copy and save the existing texture somewhere, then open and flip the image and save using DTX1. I used to get the same problem with static aircraft at different airports. Worth a try!

Re: Ticking sound at around 1000 RPM
Don't know if it's the same sound you guys are having, but at 1000rpm I get what sounds to me like a pre-ignition sound like I used to get in my Chevy when the distributor was not timed right.

Re: Windows Fogging
It would be better if the shift+3 window showed actual virtual inside temp rather than a generalization of comfort. Or perhaps an interior thermometer in the VC!

Shift+3 window (if you're using the remote GPS) will show GPS Battery and is highlighted if dead. Just click and voila!Welsch wrote:Sooo... how do you properly recharge that battery for the handheld GPS unit?
