Re: Soo hyped by the Aerostar
Man that Aerostar sure is a hot rod that actually hauls stuff. Ted Smith designed airplanes that were good looking and fast, they also actually haul decent loads....A-26, Twin Commander, Jet Commander, Aerostar. I mean a Baron is a fantastic airplane, but an Aerostar is on another level. Like compar...

Re: A2A Development Update May 2019 (Captain Jake CFI Sale 25% off)
Congrats Jake on the CFI, Keep it going bud!
Congrats to A2A, thats a helluva run for a small software company, staring out from the Shockwave days to doing USAF training projects.
Thank you all for proving that when you put your heart and mind into something, the sky truly is the limit.
Cheers,
TJ

Re: Which A2A GA plane would you most like to own?
Boy thats a tough question, I would probably go for a Bonanza if it were an A36. While I love the hours I got in the Comanche and found it a very good machine for the money, it is hard to beat Beechcraft build quality. Looking back on the years of flightsimming, the one FS plane that I would love to...

Re: RV-14
Just for fun I was comparing the quoted performance for a V-35B 185hp with a Vans RV10 (4 place 260 HP) and the numbers are quite similar. Not bad for a fixed gear. I would trade the simplicity and safety of a fixed gear any day for a few knots less performance. Don't get me wrong the Bonanza is a ...

Re: RV-14
Ahh the good ol RV, about as perfect as an airplane as you can get. It is like Goldilocks and the three bears...the RV is just right. Not as fast as a Lancair or as 'aerobatic' as an Extra, or STOL capable as a Cub...not as capable as the 'extreme' planes but it does all of the things those planes d...

Re: Next plane?
ANY airplane can be challenging, depending on the situation you put it in. While not advisable in the real world, it can fun and is certainly advisable to challenge yourself flying at the edge of aircraft perf. envelopes. For instance, take the Cherokee, load it up to MGTOW, try to take off from Tel...

Re: Loaded question for Scott Gentile
I think the A36 Bonanza is the best of both worlds. You have some of the cargo flexibility and stability of the Comanche, yet you also have the build quality and some of the fun handling of the Bo. I think thats why the G36 is the only Bonanza type still in production, that airframe is ultimately th...

Re: Congrats A2A team!Question dangerousness of the V Tail?
One of the 'gotchas' of the Bonanza is the CG shifting aft as fuel is burned. If the aft baggage compartment is full, with low fuel, this can lead to unfavorable aft CG. You can imagine a low time pilot in a V35 overshooting the base to final turn, overcorrecting, resulting in stall, spin, and crash...

Re: Yep I will, but during a sale
I have actually withheld on it to, not because I don't want it, I very much do want it, it is just because I am seriously considering making the leap to P3D and would love to have my intro to P3D be in the absolute best airplane available, this V35. The thing is I don't feel my current rig is quite ...

Re: A2A Accu-Sim Bonanza V-Tail 15-Minute Promo
The Comanche has the fit and finish of American cars of the era in which it was built. Well, IMO yes and no. The Comanche (and Bonanza) clearly represent classic American pride in the workmanship. Both definitely feel and rumble like a classic muscle car and internally, both airplanes are built to ...

Re: The secret airplane in development
True, tho the caveat of the glider is that you are relying on an outside power source (thermals via the sun). But the Cri Cri is kind of an interesting experiment in minimal amount of lift and internal power required to create "practical" aircraft that can transport you from A to B. I thin...

Re: The secret airplane in development
We were thinking that something appealing to everyone who loves aviation might be in order for the next plane we do; a plane so graceful, so fast, and so modern looking that our fan base at A2A would salivate at the very thought of owning it; a plane so unbelievably superb in every respect that we'...
