Re: Aircraft limits modeled??

Fwiw, Richard C Smith, in his biography of Al Deere, quotes Deere: ‘Attack individually’ I ordered. I barely had time to issue the order before the 109s were among us. My experience over Dunkirk taught me that when attacked the best counter was to go into a right turn. In this maneuver,...

Re: Constant speed versus two speed props

Hi PV: Your numbers manipulations are lost on me but the information I shared regarding re-equipment of fighters with constant speed props appears lost on you so I suppose we are talking past each other? You appear to be basing your calculations on percentage of aircraft at an airfield converted to ...

Don’t confuse bad manners and complete lack of civility with winning arguments or proving a darn thing. Thanks for making your extreme bias and sympathies known. I’ll be sure to ignore your posts in future as I’m sure they will have nothing to offer. Btw is there a formal ignore...

Re: RAF pilots dogfighting accounts with the 109s

Sheesh!, He talks of bias and then offers up a rant written by a angry, bitter German titled “Why Carson was an idiot.”. Colonel Leonord “Kit” Carson was top scorer of the 357th FG with 18.5 victories flying P-51’s who after the war became an engineer. He deserves bett...
