Re: Tuesday April 23rd - A2A Weekly Flight 2
Sorry I dropped out. The Bronco is a bit of a handful. I could hear you speculating as to why I'd ended up in the drink ( disconnection, lock-up etc) but no - it was pilot error. Same as on the approach into Goodwood. This thing stalls without any warning. Ah well, at least this is the opportunity t...

Re: April 22nd - A2A Weekly Flight 1
I will try to be there. I'll be in the AzurPoly Bronco if I can sort out how to start it. Otherwise, the Just Flight non-turbo Arrow. EDIT: I was GeomitraLNG1987, in the Piper Arrow. I really must get a better name. Good fun. As I had a job with climbing to match the Comanche, I'll use the Bronco ne...

Re: The passing of Tom Weiss
I've just read about him passing away over on the DCS forum. His repaints for the P3D Aerosoft Twin Otter were first class. RIP, Tom.

Re: Thanks for the P-40!
A huge thank you from me too. We all need a bit of cheering up at the moment, and the free P-40 is very generous indeed. I've had two faulty downloads so far, but it's there waiting for me, and I'll get things sorted out. Once again, thank you A2A !

The Nuremberg raid 75 years on.
I doubt this will get much reaction across the pond, but it's worth a mention for the UK and Commonwealth members here. Tonight (30/31 March ) marks the 75th anniversary of the disastrous raid on Nuremberg, during which 95 Bomber Command aircraft were shot down, and a further 10 written off afterwar...

Re: An A2A DC-3
I think A2A should do the DHC-2 Beaver. No matter what people's preferences are - tubeliners, military, GA, vintage or modern - everyone loves the DHC-2. Of all aircraft, past and present, it's the one that would appeal most widely, I think.

Re: P3D V4.4 odd sound issue when switching to external view
I've noticed the same effect with other, non-A2A, aircraft. Just Flight's new Vulcan, Aerosoft's Catalina and Flight Replica's Halifax all do the same thing. A slight tap on the throttle usually sorts it out.

Re: My First Transatlantic Flight Questions
Sounds like you could do with this:

It's exactly what was used during transatlantic flights of the period. I've tried it out in Manfred Jahn's B-50, and it works beautifully. Don't set off without it.

Okeydokey, Nick. Did you see my edit on the post above, about zip file sizes ? It's something I could check.

Re: C172 P3Dv4 Academic installation failing
Hi Nick, Yes, this is the first time. I bought Prepared v4.4 last week, and am just getting round to reinstalling add-ons. I uninstalled the A2A aircraft from Prepared v3 using control panel, by the way. I've just had another go, and now I think my problem matches the OP's one - I click on 'Install'...

Re: C172 P3Dv4 Academic installation failing
Hi Lewis, I'm having a similar problem, both with the P3Dv4 C172 and C182. As you can see, I'm attempting to install in the sim directory because my C:drive is becoming tight for space. https://i.imgur.com/4hTiiFw.jpg After selecting the installation folder and clicking on 'Install', nothing happens...

The scenery night lighting in pictures 6 to 9 seems better than I get with Orbx. Have you enhanced it in any way? PTA for example?

These repaints are making the Connie almost irresistible. How much longer can I deprive myself of it ?

Until I upgrade from P3D v3 to v4, I shall have to content myself with watching things like this:
