IRL, it sure does. Pretty sure it does in the sim as well.Caldemeyn wrote:Does the position of the throttle affect the way the engine will be primed ?

Re: Engine Start and GPS295
For the GPS - the 295 is powered by a couple of AA batteries. As simulated here, go to your 2d window (shift+3). On the left side list, at the bottom of the grey section and above the white square labled auto-start, is the "GPS battery" entry. When the battery is dead and the GPS stays dar...

Re: Oscillating FPS
I tried the program and still nothing has changed. Bramage - about the process explorer - it does not fix anything by running it, but it will let you see exactly which programs are running and how much time they are really sucking up. The easiest way to see processor use is to start the program and...

Re: Oscillating FPS
When I have cycling frame rates, it is always due to another program (outside of the simulator) sucking up the time. Fastest way I've found it is to turn on process explorer and see what programs are cycling the same way. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx I also noted tha...

Re: Cherokee maintenance suggestions
My most-often-seen-in-real-life failure list includes blown strut seals (aircraft leaning hard to one side or down by the nose), and fuel drains that will not shut off (1/2 tank gone over night, asphalt rotten on the ground under the drain).

Re: cannot takeoff
If I'm reading this right, and only the rearmost edge of the elevator is moving, you are describing movement of the elevator trim section only. I noticed that the Cherokee input configurator has it's first axis entry as the elevator trim. Since this only affects one of your controllers, and the conf...

Re: Engine Warming
Something not yet mentioned as to why these engines are so cold blooded - The oil cooler thermostat will keep the oil from running through the cooler while cold, but note that the intake manifold is actually part of the oil pan, so all cold air being sucked into the cylinders is also cooling the oil...

Re: 182 with CANARDS
I've worked one of the last Peterson Wren 460's. Pretty amazing performance, with the flaps all the way out, it felt like it could hover. This website has a couple of great shots and a good write-up.

Re: Flying Guppy AI
I just ran the 11-20-14 update and mine is still inop. Strange. The indicator does change position between locked and unlocked, but it is still not reflecting the aircraft attitude.

Re: Don't understand why my engine stopped working
Sounds like carb icing to me, too. I'm currently trying to get out of south central Montana, where it is snowing and the cloud cover is low. Within about 30 minutes of flight, I watched the tach start to drop. Eased throttle to full over the next five minutes and the tach kept dropping. Finally put ...

Re: Altitude selector
I wasn't referring to the cabin altitude selector (I downloaded very interesting tutorial on that) but the altitude selector that is located under the clock in front of the captain seat. Ah, sorry. This is the "decision altitude" selector. The aircraft is equipped with ground proximity de...

KMA24 audio panel issue
Thanks for such a beautiful aircraft. I'm currently doing a number of long-haul flights and ran into an issue with the audio panel. IRL, if you are receiving and transmitting on com1, you set the mic switch to com1 for transmit and push the auto button to receive. If you want to listen to com2, you ...
