Re: Finished Community Repaints
Great looking repaint with just one problem. The spiral on the spinner should be the other way round, so that your eye follows it outwards from centre, opposite to the direction of rotation. This was a trick used by the Luftwaffe on their fighters to put off the aim of gunners in allied bombers. Yo...

Suddenly the Apollo moon landing program doesn't seem quite as impressive as it once was.

Re: Starting engines: Inertia/Prime timing ?
I turn on the generator and check it's voltage of the previously started engine, that seems long enough for the next engines inertial starter to spool up.

Re: Finished Connie Paints
Isn't this particular thread for finished repaints? I am sure the previews would fit in nicely elsewhere.Warbirds wrote:Seems I am cluttering up this thread with my previews so maybe I should give this paint a rest or just stick to the much more friendly SOH Connie thread.

Disable cots
Is there a way to disable the crew of COTS if I prefer FSPassengers?

Re: Cargo question
It's funny if you think about it, if there is to be a Han Solo & ragtag type crew, the 377 has to be the Millennium Falcon lol. She's not pretty, but she's fast. She made the Acapulco run in 6.0019e-11 Parsecs (yah yah I know parsec is a measure of distance). I can see an ex C-97 bein...

Re: Prop pitch during descend
The difference with these high flying piston planes is to start your descent way earlier than you might in today's aircraft. You should not have to pull that much power off.

Re: Rudder Elevator emergency boost
The one by the pedestal does say emergency but as far as I know it turns off the normal boost and reduces your control authority. I don't know why you would remove that boost as a matter of routine. Anyway, thanks for the response, I am just going to assume that this refers to a system that has beco...

Rudder Elevator emergency boost
I know where the normal Elevator, Rudder and Aileron booster levers are but reading the checklist it mentions the emergency boosters, for example the co-pilot switches them off during climb.
I am unable to find these switches. Is it called something else in the cockpit layout illustrations?

Slow Texan Fast Cub
I consider myself fully checked out on the T-6 now so I decided to relax a bit and revisit my old friend the J-3 and impress it with my new and improved tail dragger skills. Since I have done a lot of bush flying early in my FSX days I have the habit of not wasting a foot of runway. There was a time...
