Re: FSX vs. P3Dv2 Testing
I'd have to say I agree taildraggin. With the DX10 tool, I think FSX is pretty well complete of course along with ORBX, A2A, and ASN. I'm very pleased with my FSX at the time. Maybe as P3D2.2 progresses, it'll be something I consider putting back on my computer.

Rafael,
The AP acts like the real thing. It's been mentioned numerous times that the STEC-30 has a wander to it. I agree a knots ASI would be a neat option.

Re: Computer build advice
Thanks for your input desk pilot and great blogs! I'll look into your type of system. Have you tried P3Dv2? I would imagine even if you haven't, it should perform about the same as
FSX right?
FSX right?

Awash,
Have you tried reloading the flight to see if maybe it was just a glitch?

Chris, All the P3D vs. FSX stuff is foggy but as far as I understand, there is no difference in the system other then the title of the platform. "Professional" is for say, flight schools where as "academic" is for someone that wants to practice their skills at home. Because LM re...

Re: couple questions
I'm not sure about that one. I just bought the FSX version. I don't think they come packaged together but you can certainly look in the store. It will tell you what is available.

Re: couple questions
Hi milo, Yes it does come with a GPS. When you buy the Cherokee, One of your control panels will give you the option to select between no gps, gps 295, and garmin 400. It is also RXP compatible so if you have RXP, you can use those GPS's. The Cherokee is ok for P3Dv2 but make sure in the store that ...

Re: Computer build advice
Molleh,
I'm not really sure what the prices look like so I'd say something in the $700 range? Maybe 8 max?
Deskpilot,
Great read. Curious, what are your settings like and what kind of frames do you typically see in a crowded city with a high fps aircraft?

Computer build advice
So, the time has come. My machine is 7 years old and even though it still runs decently strong, id like to start accumulating ideas on a new system. I know FSX was reliant on was it GPU? I don't know, anyways, what do you guys recommend for a P3Dv2 machine? Video card, ram, ETC. Im looking to not ge...

Re: Fuses
Have not had time to read the manual, or install yet as just getting home, but if you pull one, does A2A model it? As in, will something then not work? Yes if you pull the fuse, it will shut that system down. Like an on/off switch at the moment but they do plan to model them for popping in the futu...

Other1,
I don't have FSUIPC but I would imagine it would work that way. I just set all my buttons from FSX.
