Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - News and Footage
Those are the people that make up the bulk of aviation enthusiasts and they run for cover when people start throwing around words like center of gravity, pFactor, and manifold pressure, they just like airplanes, and don't care about all the ins and outs of their operation, and those are the people ...

Unable to update with new updater
When running the new auto-update utility I get the following error after it tries to download the file for the Spitfire: Error trying to save file: Error downloading "http://a2asimulations.com/wyupdate/spitfire/spitfire.1.0.to.2.0.wyu": The underlying connection was closed: The connection ...

Re: auto oxygen?
So long as your mask is on yes, the oxygen is automatically regulated. If you don't want it to happen automatically then just don't put the mask on until you need it.

Re: Plane stuck in place regardless of power
That did it! I loaded the default 172, started it and idled for a few minutes then switched to the A2A 172 and 180, both seem fine now, thanks!

Re: Plane stuck in place regardless of power
So I reinstalled the Cessna 172 and Cherokee 180, deleted DAT files for both, no updates. Starting at Boeing Field. In the Cessna you can hear all the sounds in the cockpit as well as flaps in 3rd person but no engine sounds. Plane is stuck in place as before and vacuum fluctuates near the bottom of...

Re: Plane stuck in place regardless of power
Thankfully I hadn't gotten to tweaking any of those files yet. I'll give it a go this evening and let you guys know. Thanks!

Re: Plane stuck in place regardless of power
That was actually one of the first things I did, on both aircraft. No effect.

Re: Plane stuck in place regardless of power
Correction, the Spitfire and 377 work fine. The 172 has the same problems as the Cherokee. The 172 was working fine prior to the last update. Also noticing vacuum is really low and fluttering regardless of engine power but maintenance hangar says the pump is fine.

Re: Plane stuck in place regardless of power
Actually that's an interesting point. I have all sounds in the cockpit as far as I know but no sounds in any of the exterior views. Maintenance hangar seems to work properly. No Orbx scenery, the attempts were at Boeing Field, Seattle and Harvey Field, Snohomish and I believe they are defaults. Hard...

Plane stuck in place regardless of power
So I just bought the Cherokee today, did a quick read through the manual, did my walk-around, pre-flight, etc. Got the engine started, electrics on and everything warmed up. I took the parking brake off and eased up the power but nothing happens. So just for grins I firewalled it and the plane is st...

Re: I got the C172, now what's next
Odd is kinda what they go for. Or should I say unexpected? Many have noted the quirks of the 172's autopilot, well I'm pretty sure they put it in there because of them, because it isn't entirely what people expect (to quote the autopilot FAQ, that would be boring, wouldn't it?). With the warbirds th...

Re: C172 side windows fogging - too much effect?
Ah, that makes sense. Especially since the cabin vent is ram air whereas the heat is not. There are no fans in either system, right?
