Re: Comanche 250 for MSFS crashes every time it lands
I have experienced this problem. In flatscreen I normally run c. 20 to 30 fps (but sometimes dipping into single digits) and so have had this monster flip only a couple of times. In vr fps is something around 20 but I always have an uncontrollable self-destructive convulsion upon take off, usually w...

Enter the word to look it up. This legend of nautical origin has been around for a while and is simply untrue.

Re: my thoughts on MSFS (2020)
Recently I flew the A2A C172 in FSX:SE and then the C172 in MSFS. For MSFS the controls have been tweaked mostly along the lines suggested by DHenriquesA2A. In both aircraft I did what I understand to be a power stall, a power off stall, a turning stall, a full flaps stall, a 360 degree turn at 60 d...

Re: A2A is MIA
In the tool bar/camera there is a TrackIR button that turns it on. Once switched on it worked fine for me. The list of known issues recognizes the difficulty with TrackIR as well as the inoperative VR tool bar, so one surmises they are working on it. I am happy for SU7 as it fixed an issue around la...

Re: Noob
But there are some things you can do to prepare for the day A2A brings out an aircraft for MSFS. First, learn the simulator. MSFS has its share of quirks and its own way for doing things. You may want to learn how to set the weather, load in a flight plan, use the ATC or navigate in the user interfa...

Re: I am not getting MSFS2020 until...
Regarding the original post. It seems many people are waiting for an A2A aircraft before buying MSFS. Personally, I purchased MSFS when it first came out, have experienced the improvements, and have watched tons of videos on how to adjust settings. Definitely I miss A2A and return to FSX SE to fly t...

Re: Great video picking apart MSFS2020's flight modeling
As a non-RW--pilot I lack sufficient knowledge to assert anything in this discussion. I do have a question for those in the know. In the video, he demonstrates a P-51 falling out of the sky on an accelerated (right term?) stall. One of my first experiences in the A2A P-51 was just this corrective tu...

Re: Some test results on rudder response in FS2020
Thanks, MarcE. Your description exactly describes something I had been experiencing. I guess I just did not think of it as part of the fight model per se, but I should have. Nonetheless, Dudley's settings have cured the problem for me.

Re: Some test results on rudder response in FS2020
i just now tried the revised sensitivity settings. The take off and landing runs on the runway were much, much more manageable. Previously, I was experiencing violent and uncontrollable lurching to one side and the other. Thank you, Dudley. I have also removed all key stroke settings from my keyboar...

Re: How do you navigate using modern flightplans
You can use GPS with the B377. Just engage the default fsx autopilot using their keyboard commands. You will have to assign a key to the toggle NAV/GPS command. To engage, hit your assigned toggle NAV/GPS key. Then Z to engage autopilot and ctrl-N to switch to navigation. If done properly, this will...

This web site

sounds like Aerosoft is the supplier of the boxed sets, and it is available only in Europe. I think the article is quite helpful.

Re: Has anyone done a pre-purchase on the new Microsoft FS 2020?
I did a quick Google search just now. The specs for FS2020 operating system only shows Windows 10. I did find a suggestion on how to run a windows program on a Mac, but the source was Quora so take it for what it might be worth. Running FS2020 on a Mac would probably be something of a jury rig, as f...
