@cessna lover Thanks! This is a true account. My father was on this mission, flying Co-Pilot in "Seattle Sleeper", in #3 position behind the lead, Cpt. Rexford Boggs. Dad said this was the worst of the 35 missions he flew. Five out of twelve A/C in his squadron (91st BG, 323rd BS) were sho...

Re: Engine fire at startup
Oops. Sorry, missed that. But hey, I could write a LUA script to cause a runaway turbo at startup to see if I get a fire.

Re: Engine fire at startup
Maybe you had a runaway turbo. That can blow an engine up very quickly.

Re: Radio question
Prior to the implementation of ILS in the ETO, the DREM lighting system (named for RAF Drem, West Fenton Aerodrome , where it was first implemented) was used for bad weather approaches.

Re: Landing Gear Motor burnout
Be sure to center the landing gear switch after the crew reports full up/down. If you leave the switch up or down the gear motor is still running and WILL burn out.

Re: B-17?
I have it working (mostly) very nicely in Prepar3d v5.1 as a temporary measure until an update. I haven't flown this aircraft for a while and lost appreciation for it until now. A beautiful aircraft and flies very nicely. The following video I flew a polished metal aircraft in first flight and a co...

Re: B-17?
Just set the expectation correctly. That's all I'm asking. We were told something that did not happen, and then there was silence, a refusal to answer. If it's not coming, put it to bed.
