2) The effect being heard around the house.
My wife is very understanding! And finds the deep bass rumble quite nice! Especially in the morning when in bed while I try an early morning flight in the next room!

Re: Will the Aerostar 600 be available for FSX?

I too want to thank A2A for the wonderful GA planes I've enjoyed (and enjoy) flying in FSX but I too have to drop out from purchasing any more A2A. I invested heavily in FSX in 2013 knowing it was mature with massive support, and used it as the basis for a complete home cockpit build (piper aztec an...

Re: Maps & Gps on IPad/Tablet

If you want a good map application (but without GPS functionality and monthly subscriptions) Remote Flight is my choice. Cheap and versatile and easy to use.

Re: Fantastic Flying Fiction!

Hi Hook, I’m half way through Judas Country myself, not as much flying in it as Shooting Script or Wrong Side of the Sky. But as you said, these 50-60 year old books are a scream, after I’ve finished the four ‘aviation ’ novels I may move on to his other thrillers!

Fantastic Flying Fiction!

I've stumbled upon thriller novellist Gavin Lyall from the 60s and 70s. He was a meteor pilot in the early 50s then went on to work as a journalist and novelist. Four of his books are fantastic, gritty aviation fiction. The lone heroes are always middle-aged pilots flying old planes, trying to make ...

Engine Sound ... How Accurate?

I like flying the 182, but I can't stand the drone of the engine, is this accurate?? I have flown lots of aircraft, including the Cherokee and Cub, and been up in a Cherokee, Grob and C150, and of course I've got all those Milviz and Alabeo planes ... I've never heard a sound like the 182. It drives...

Re: Would you like to FEEL the RR Merlin roar? Then you NEED this!

Yeah, the Buttkickr it revolutionaized my simming, and has given my cockpit build a new dimension. But when it overheated and stopped working, I upgraded ... to a Pearl Throne THumper!! Just as good, but with slightly better controls (and bright red). Everyone should have a Buttkicker!

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017

I don’t think we’re getting a twin yet but if we are I’m immediately going to Amazon to get a new throttle quadrant. I know with the way A2A would model a twin, having a six axis quadrant would be almost essential. Well my full-on homebuilt cockpit set up is for a twin with two...

Re: Tips for returning to flight after holidays

Sometimes when work is hectic (I work from home 3 days a week) I have to miss a day or two. If course when I'm on holiday (US = vacation) all I do is dream of flying on the sim! I'd be climbing the walls of I couldn't fly for a week or more. It is sheer joy, relief, relaxation, excitement, wonder an...

one hour endurance. Wow. People, pressure groups, governments are infatuated with electric cars. Yes, the emissions are zero. But. But. The power must come from hydrocarbon burning power stations. And if we all drive electric cars, we will need hundreds more power stations. You are just shift...

Oracle, you made an old Star Wars fan laugh out loud and annoy his wife watching a horror film. Well done! :)
