Re: Smoking Engine

Is this in P3D? I have the same issue with the Comanche atm (after 1 half hour flight), and also have had the same issue with the P180. Turning the engine off gets rid of the smoke, only for it to return again after being on for a while. With the 180, even a complete engine rebuild didn't remove the...

Re: Comanche Finished Repaints

That VH reg is beautiful. Very classic looking. Great work!
The aussiex.org servers seems to be having issues as I write this so will have to download at a later time.

Re: cub view shortcuts

I just did this very thing with another plane and FSUIP. Look through the aircraft config for the camera definition that represents the view you want to bind to a button. Then, in "Buttons +Switches" bind the button to the "VIEW_CAMERA_SELECT X" function in FSUIP (where X is the ...

Thoroughly entertaining video. Good job! Though... I don't think I'd ever buy a used vehicle from you. :)

Re: cherokee 180 not maintaining altitude

Did you have one of the roll modes engaged first (ST, HD, LO TRK, HI TRK)? Altitude hold con only be engaged if one of the roll modes are selected first.

Re: GTN 750 use with Piper Cub ?

If your imaginary battery goes dead you might need to add something like. max_generator_alternator_amps = 100 engine_generator_map = 1 so the whole thing would look like [electrical] max_battery_voltage = 24.0 generator_alternator_voltage = 100 electric_always_available=1 max_generator_alternator_am...

Re: GTN 750 use with Piper Cub ?

I know this is an old thread, but I just bought the Flight1 GTN 750 and thought I'd see if I could get it working in the Cub just for Sh*ts n' giggles. If you edit the config (after backing up the original) by changing "max_battery_voltage = 0" to "max_battery_voltage = 24.0", an...

Re: Great news for all users of Flight1's GTN units!

Tim, you are a champ! The only thing that stopped me from buying the GTN 750 from Flight 1 was the terrain database being for the US only. I do a LOT of flying in the Oceanic region. I briefly looked into getting the Garmin DVD locally (Australia) but to be honest it was more trouble than it was wor...

Congrats on the upgrade to the CH products. The difference between using a standard joystick and all the CH gear with all the bells and whistles is night and day isn't it!

Re: Would be a good idea to open the baggage door?

I had a thought, since we have a key to the baggage door, why not open it. We could load up various of supplies, just to add that touch of realism. Its already stocked. no more space. Anyway a good idea is not to know what is inside. Heh. Beat me too it. :) After a while the smell kind of gives it ...

Re: A2A vs Real Thing

I'm not a real world pilot either , but I have read many many comments on A2A's 172 made by real world pilots. From what I can gather, the product is the most accurate representation of a 172 on a home PC to date. For all intents and purposes, if you own the A2A 172 Trainer, you have a professional ...

Also, just added the gauge to the 182 just to test if it all worked. It does. I just chose "append" during installation and can access it via the menus when needed. I hope this helps.

Re: Is my ride realistic

Rex OD does weather Andrew. It just doesn't do it anywhere near as well as ASN. If you are on a tight budget though, the combination of Rex Essentials + OD is hard to beat.
