Re: C172 FSX Steam GPS not 'refreshing'
The reason I posted this originally to the forum is that the guys like Lewis are great for bouncing ideas off and offering help, whereas the steam forums (generally) have a lot of users who are willing to log and/or complain about a problem, but a lot fewer who will actually troubleshoot to help the...

Re: C172 FSX Steam GPS not 'refreshing'
Yup, I don't think anyone is arguing that's it's an A2A problem as it happens in the default aircraft as well. Have people been having problems with FSX:SE and the A2A 172? Anyway, interestingly enough I may have some sort of 'fix' for this issue..... but I'm playing around, have got voice back on U...

Re: C172 FSX Steam GPS not 'refreshing'
Hi guys, Sorry, I gave away sims/games for a while as I got really annoyed with stuff not working and other games glitching on me. **Edit, I just read the above posts*. Yep, looks like it might be time to find a new Vatsim client! I found that removing FSCopilot from the xml worked wonders. :) Cheer...

Re: Effects and realism
Wow, nice setup, I'm quite envious :D I agree with what you're saying as well. Although I currently have a joystick and throttle bolted to the desk setup because the PC is used for multiple things as well as being restricted with space, I am looking at how to progress this in the future. I suppose m...

Re: VH-DHS Repaint - GIMP question
Thanks Lewis, I was creating the lines by paths and I'm not sure what I did, but it does seem to be working now. Not sure what I did, the only thing I can come up with was that the original lines were anti-aliased and smooth, but if you use the fill tool and then try to fill in all the other anti-al...

Re: VH-DHS Repaint - GIMP question
Well, I don't know what I did, but I just redrew some of the lines on the side and they came up a lot better.
I guess I'll keep working on it

VH-DHS Repaint - GIMP question
Hi guys, My current repaint project is VH-DHS, which is the hire 172 from the local aero club as per below. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/FuzzyDropbear/FSX/2414828_zpsitj3xjmp.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/FuzzyDropbear/FSX/14232_1325831793_zpsfdwof4am.jpg I've usually done...

And further proof to the fact that beer is healthy, when you ferment malt, it converts sugars, thus lowering the calorie count of the beverage... So it's kinda like one of them fandangled diet shakes.... Or that's what I keep telling myself anyway

Re: What a great day in the 172
... I couldn't get the control lock to work. Finally discovered that you had to push the yoke forward so the hole lines up and the lock will go in place.....This aircraft is better than sliced bread. :D Hahaha, the amount of time I spent trying to figure that out and then one day, "hmmm" ...

Re: Clickspot issue and landing lights
Hi Lewis, Deleted the c172 folder, re-ran the updater and the clickspot issue mostly disappeared, although when it did reappear, it was after I swapped windows, so not sure if FSX was waiting for me to click on the window again to reactivate the click spots (my fsx likes me to hit enter when I Alt-T...

Re: Clickspot issue and landing lights
Just ran the updater and it said the aircraft was up to date, I did run the old installer yesterday to switch between the default and custom landing lights, would this have updated it already? I just found the 'new' c172 configuration tool, so I changed the lights around again and I'll have a go a b...

Re: Clickspot issue and landing lights
Ah, I do see that there's a new version out, I only ran the 01_26_15 updater from when I reinstalled FSX. I will update and see how it goes.
Thanks again Lewis.

Clickspot issue and landing lights
Hi guys, My c172 install seems to suffer from the clickspot issue in that randomly all the clickspots disappear and then come back again after a random amount of time. Unfortunately, when I revert to the default landing lights, they don't illuminate the ground which can make it quite tricky trying t...

Re: C172 FSX Steam GPS not 'refreshing'
Yeah, that's why I was thinking that it's something wrong on my end, especially if noone else is reporting it. I did like the increased performance though. I'll try it again at some point in the future, but for now I'm happy just having the ability to jump in the air again.
Cheers,
Rob
