Re: Tool menu
Hello guys, sorry I am not sure what addon that is. thanks, Lewis I believe they are referring to “YourControls”. Here is a link: https://flightsim.to/file/5383/yourcontrols-shared-cockpit-for-msfs It is an add-on that allows two multiplayer pilots to share a cockpit. Especially helpful for Instruc...

Re: Stayed overnight in alaska woke up to -24F
And with that I would like to sugest a persistent geo position of the aircraft set by the tail reg number. If msfs permits.. I’m not sure I completely understand this suggestion, but if it means what I think it does, it would only seem to benefit people who leave from a “Home” airport and fly a rou...

Re: Does the sink rate seem off?
Are you flying with gap seals? They do make the plane more slick. I start reducing power and bringing my nose up 3 to 5 miles before entering a standard left downwind pattern. The goal is to lower the gear midfield on the downwind, I continue reducing power and raising the nose to maintain level fli...

Re: Change Avionics to match my 1958 Comanche?
I’m not sure whether you were considering, or already purchased the A2A MSFS Comanche. The tablet that comes with it in the pilot’s panel pocket, can be used to choose between several avionics configurations. The most basic still includes a fancy engine monotor, but no GPS, and pretty much looks lik...

Re: Procedure for refuelling partial loads
Rob’s is a very good answer. A couple of details I could add: I’m guessing you want to carry less fuel so you can carry more cargo, heavier passengers, or both. IRL most pilots try to avoid draining fuel unless they absolutely have to. It is much easier to not fill the tanks completely from a previo...

Re: Comanche unaffected by wind when on the ground
I did try flying in real weather in the hurricane that hit Southern California this year. I absolutely had to use real world taxiing procedures to keep the plane from getting tossed. I admit this is a rather extreme test, and I have noticed the stability you are speaking of in heavy, but lesser wind...

Re: MSFS2024 and Comanche 250
I mean to ask: will I have to purchase the plane again for whatever hypothetical ms2024 update, like fsx --> p3d versions for the comanche 250, or will it not be considered a new plane for which I have to pay? I’m just a customer here, but FSX to P3D was more than an update. Also, if memory serves ...

Re: Flight Hours
It does not count the hours of your current or last flight, but adds these hours to the total hours logged for your airframe. If you decided to select "used" on the aircraft maintenance page of the in-cockpit tablet, you will see that the Hobbs hours increase according to what this page t...

Re: I did something dumb today, thought I would share.
Thanks Nick, the hot key I assigned is working perfectly. I hardly ever leave the cockpit when I’m flying (more immersive for me that way), so I’m quite unfamiliar with the camera controls, but I do have a toggle on my yoke between outside view and cockpit. When I tried that one it toggled between o...

I did something dumb today, thought I would share.
I changed my oil and filter, and used walk around mode to see the results of my work. Sure enough, 9 quarts of fresh oil showing on the stick. I put the stick away, closed the hatch, and then clicked the tablet off, which promptly disappeared (I’m sure back to its little pocket). There I stood, by t...

Re: VR, wingtip tanks, not showing correctly
I also use a G2 Reverb (v2). I am using the VR add-on, created by another user, and available at Flightsim.to. I regularly fly with tip tanks, and even before using the add-on did not experience what you are describing. I’m no programmer, but this sounds like something other than a bug to me.

Still love this plane
I got home from work. Didn’t have time for a real flight, and I decided to do some pattern work. This plane is a joy to fly, no matter how you do it.

Re: I flew backwards tonight in some crazy winds.
I was flying from KAVX to KPRB on what was an uneventful flight when, on final approach, all of a sudden my plane started flying sideways and then, after a few seconds, was flying backward. Hmm, this is strange . Opened up the tablet and saw this: Microsoft Flight Simulator Screenshot 2023.09.04 - ...

Re: Video of a real 250 Checklist and Pattern work
Might be a slight delay for the next one, we are aware we are a little out of order as the Take-off one needing changing and editing. thanks, Lewis - A2A I am looking forward to the landing one. Especially if it includes how to deal with all of the gap seals, etc. My current approach is to drop man...

Re: Fueling question for the Comanche
IRL, I always take full tanks unless there is a specific reason not to, like carrying extra passengers or cargo. If that is the case it is even more important to pay attention to fuel burn calculations, including accounting for headwinds, and unforeseen variables, and plan an intermediate stop if th...
