Re: Thank you and sadly goodbye.....
Martin, all the best for you and a lot of respect for your decision! I am curious, may I ask for your age? Because being almost 30 years old I would probably not have the "far-sightedness" to do such a step after that amount of money and time.. Maybe I am too selfish for that  Greet...

E-4 propeller blade pitch and dimensions
Hello, For a project I am working on, regarding a 1/1 scale model of the E4, we have hit a stumbling block as to the whirly twirly part that goes at the front of the aeroplane, namely the propellor. We are either looking for a suitable modern day replacement or to produce a GRP replica. What would b...

Thank you and sadly goodbye.....
After years and years of simming going from FS1 all the way up to FSX, I have decided to call it a day and have removed the simulator from my PC. For years it was all for me, I used nothing else was so keen and then if it wasn't for A2A taking me on as 2nd Consultant on their wonderful T-6 project, ...

Re: Inertial Starter
As far as I understand this is as realistic as it'll get. What is modeled here is a direct drive inertia starter where the starter motor drives the flywheel that is already connected to the crankshaft. So no clutch to be engaged as in the P-40 or the B-17 for example. Whereas with the direct drive ...

Re: D-FOBY in Stuttgart
'D-FOBY' is an early AT-6A (41-217 c/n 77-4176) which after USAAF service was delivered to Portugal where it became FAP1608 serving from 1947 to 1976 with BA-1 and BA-7. Sold to Euroworld Ltd as G-BGGR on the 17/01/1979 it was soon sold to Germany 3 months later. I'm sure it went direct from Portuga...

Re: G-CHIA
BTW, Martin, you also might like to know that the next one I'll have released is Rob Davies' G-TVIJ, which I know you had a hand in. It's a bit like Christmas! Thank you very much indeed. I worked on the history of this and was instrumental in researching it's colours. Was one of my earlier project...

Here is a photo of her when she was on the FAA register as N9012Y. I have a number of images and all in this scheme, so possibly was put back into US Navy colours when was imported from Japan? http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w447/T6flyer/North_American_SNJ-5_N9012Y_5350885777.jpg What will proba...

Re: Awesome review
Very good indeed. Noted a few items that I hadn't noticed on the external model and I was the 2nd Consultant to the project. Makes me very proud indeed to be part of the Development of the T-6.
