Re: Zero - bomb handles, but no bombs?

Re: Zero - bomb handles, but no bombs?

In the Zero VC we have workable bomb handles, but I don't see any bombs loaded on the plane, and I haven't caught sight of any bombs dropping when I pull the handles. I know on another plane (can't remember which, P-47?) you had to add a button on the panel to turn on/off the display of rockets mou...

Thanks to both of you  Missprint in the instructions -- doh! That actually didn't occur to me. So much for RTFM. Should have trusted my brain more than my eyes. Upon closer zoom-in on the switches I now see the switch I'm refering to is not labeled "Boost", but rather "Boost Co...

Tonight I found i can get the forward fuel selector to rotate to the 12 o'clock position but it immediately snaps back to the 9 o'clock position. I cannot move it to the 6 o'clock position at all. Again, talking about in FSX here. Some history... In Combat Flight Simulator 2, there is an "auto...

Re:

I see that this was never addressed/answered. Even after the update, the Zero has no [Flight Tuning] section in its aircraft.cfg. Do the settings within just revert to a default value if it's not present? What is that value? I'd think it'd be "1.0" but I see some of the other planes DO ha...

I looked at the Aircraft.Cfg for the Zero and it's missing a entire section called: [Flight Tuning] cruise_lift_scalar= pitch_stability= roll_stability= yaw_stability= parasite_drag_scalar= induced_drag_scalar= elevator_effectiveness= aileron_effectiveness= rudder_effectiveness= elevator_trim_effec...

A6M5 Zero and Bf109e! Any fans?

These two planes are really underrated; they were the best-flying fighters in the world in 1940. Light weight, low wing loading, light controls, and responsive engines made them a joy to fly. The Spitfire MkI was nearly identical in performance to these and remains popular of course; the Zero, Emil,...

Re: The REVIEWS are IN!

WWII Fighters is my favorite A2A product, with the Uhu also right up there. I believe I must be a WoPaholic. I guess all those rave reviews are irrelevant now that Accusim is out, no? (That is a joke, please don't take it seriously - the aircraft fly superbly and the reviews are still valid). I will...

Re:

about absolute realism what do you recommend concerning force feedback for FS9 and FSX? Should I run default or should I run FS-force for example? Is the force feedback manually modified for these airplanes or if you use the FS9 or FSX you just get the force feedback the game itself calculates base...

I still don't think you understand what Accu-sim is and whats happening but to each there own, we have Aircraft Factory for the relaxed realism default flyers 8) thanks, Lewis As you say, Lewis, each to his/her own. I understand the techniques used in Accusim quite well, though, being a programmer ...

Re: P-51 Civilian - Carburettor Icing/Temp at High altitudes

A careful reading reveals that is precisely what Oskar was saying: The filter itself is not something that is selectable- Unrammed air is, by default, filtered. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk No. The filter is absolutely selectable. If the pilot want unfiltered, rammed air, he uses that position....

Re: P-51 Civilian - Carburettor Icing/Temp at High altitudes

I can read carefully enough, and I noted the date. Does the age of the thread somehow invalidate any response? Or did I miss something in the forum terms and conditions? As for careful reading, I leave it to you: "The air induction system supplies either ram air or unrammed, filtered air to the...

Re: P-51 Civilian - Carburettor Icing/Temp at High altitudes

I use the air filter when under 10000 feet. Use carburetor heat if cruising or descending at low power below 12000 feet. Above 10k, the dew-point is so low that carb icing is very unlikely. The only time you would get icing at 35-40k would be in thunderstorm situations. Just to make this clear and ...
