Re: A2A and MSFS 2024 - A Little Update

Maybe getting back to a more general question: Have you guys from A2A decided on whether the Piper will get a New Patch for msfs and do you have a Roadmap on the aerostar? Or for New announcements?

Re: Aerostar learning continued: Procedures from systems POV

Ouch. I have only a SEP rating, but this basically says: Power down, push the stick down until you are above the speed, then apply power again. So basically what it says - it is good to land in a way that you can reach the field in gliding distance. I often do power on landings on the C172 - but usu...

Re: Aerostar learning continued: Procedures from systems POV

The Tecnam P2006 has two Rotax and only empty weight of 760 kg, that makes it a very affordable twin trainer. Although sometimes, maybe a higher mass is better for MEP training. The Diamond 62 which is flown by, for example, our upcoming Chancellor Friedrich Merz, is another modern twin, with 2 x Au...

In what comes to turbine singles, PC-12 (which Michael perhaps means, instead of Porter, in this context) is indeed a brilliant aircraft, in my opinion.

You are obviously right, i mixed the Turboprop Engine (PT6) with PC12. Doesnt change the nature of my post otherwise, though.

Re: Aerostar learning continued: Procedures from systems POV

To me this shows once again that flying MEPs is considerable more complex with a very questionable safety improvement. There is a reason we see more and more SETs like the PC6 and even Single Engine Jets like the Vision Jet compared to piston Twins. Of course it depends a lot on the mission. If you ...

Re: FS2024 - Beta for Sim Update 1 started

COWS seem to release a pretty decent DA40NG. Seems to be relatively well simulated.

I really we get more a2a planes soon.

FS2024 - Beta for Sim Update 1 started

After a rather quiet January and a rather, lets say, mediocre start of MSFS2024, it seems that the improvements of MSFS2024 are finally starting to get on the way. The release notes are online: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sim-update-1-beta-1-3-7-0-release-notes-january-23-2025/700065 So I g...

Re: A2A and MSFS 2024 - A Little Update

Obviously asking for Release dates ist futile and given the current State of MSFS24 it isnt advisable to release the Aerostar unless the first patches are out - but nevertheless I wonder about A2As current road map for MSFS24...

Maybe you can give us some small hints soon:).

Re: To A2A:An Open Letter

Come on guys lets focus on the positive news: The Comanche is working with MSFS2024, and the sim is improving.

We soon have 2025 so the Aerostar and the MSFS2024 Integration might be not too far away. I wish you all merry Christmas and a happy New year.

Re: No water in fuel tank, never

I have never landed there personally myself, but there is a small forest, too when landing at the 07. The road is actually part of the runway, it gets closed when planes land: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-OGpiXlp3M They have a nice Beergarden there, so its certainly worth visiting, just hard to...

Re: No water in fuel tank, never

Yes, but its not only 408 m long, it is also just 12m broad:

408 x 12m, although the TORA is at least "comfortable" 438m, elevation 1961 feet.

But since it is one of the very few fields around munich, it gets a lot of traffic, including C172s.

Re: No water in fuel tank, never

It really depends on aircraft type, location (EDMJ comes to mind, you dont want to take off there at 408metres run way and 2000 ft elevation with more than what you need), and internal club regulations/guidelines. "I've not met Comanche in person in reality, but judging from some other small ai...

Re: No water in fuel tank, never

However, what I absolutely hate is a bottom-up planning approach to the GA fuel load: how much my flight requires, and try to fill just that much or thereabouts. What I do like are pilots doing the opposite: how much fuel one can have , and then checking how comfortably it exceeds what is absolutel...
